Hello
Having already been approached by scammers from Ivory Coast, and I thank this forum for warning me, I just received this message that is quite similar to others but seems to come from England, from an expatriate Frenchman. However, the number of spelling mistakes for a compatriot makes me doubtful about his true nationality.
Has anyone received a similar message??
Is it really a scam???
I look forward to your responses

Yes, a person was making me believe that he could rent me his apartment cheaply because he worked in England. I told him okay, but he asked me to send him a postal check for the 500 euros deposit before the visit, which I found strange for security reasons. I asked him for his personal number, and when I saw 004470......
for me, it was a scam.

Hello,
as for me, she is not asking for anything at the moment, she goes by the name of Irène Uhlen.
I saw a house rental in Belgium on Vivastreet for a really, really low price, and I already had doubts, but I went on anyway. She gives me photos and a description, the house is really beautiful. She details that a month's deposit and the first month's rent are required upon signing the lease, and then I ask how many people are interested and she replies there are 10 people, but you are the only one I really want to rent to. I ask for her number and here it is: 0044 7035 964 396.

Yeah, you're right, we should especially be wary when it seems too easy, and especially of people who want to do business without being there. Look at the link below, there are 10 pages just on the CCM forum. See you.

Hello,
I read your message, I received exactly the same one from Eric Frégé in England, following a real estate ad I posted on a site immo.com. He wanted to send me a check for 50% of the amount, which is 55,000 euros. I was wary, so I handed the matter over to an agency and a notary, but that didn’t scare him. Fortunately, we had taken information from the gendarmerie. Be wary of his friend Dupouy Brigitte as well.

Re hello, I don't know if you received my message, but please be very careful with these scams
as I have already told you, this man used my passport, and I reported it to the police station in my city. However, you should know that you must not open any email because he uses everything, even unusual photos and other sites that really exist. Best regards.

I received a passport by email to supposedly prove his good faith
but this gentleman was white with an African voice but it’s true that caught up in this ad for a parrot that I have wanted for years I lost all reason and had only one goal to receive them so it went through Ivory Coast they are more than clever.

On me contactera. J'espère qu'ils mettront la main sur cet escroc. Cordialement.
Hello everyone.
Being cautious by nature, this morning I received a missed call on my mobile from a number starting with 0044. So I did a little search on our dear Google to find out where this area code comes from and I directly came across your site.... I'm forwarding you all the emails about so-called prizes I've won via the Irish and English lotteries. I even once had the enormous luck of being chosen by a millionaire who wanted to donate his money. Wow! And to think that today I could be a multi-millionaire. And do people believe this??!!! Generally, I forward to this site https://www.fedpol.admin.ch/fedpol/de/home/kriminalitaet/cybercrime.html
Be careful!

Hello,
I inform you that, following a search for an old wooden caravan, I stumbled upon an intermediary transport company allegedly based in England, which is asking for deposits. So it's a scam, while the initial ad was posted on an official classifieds site.
Here is the email of these scammers and the phone number in England.
Beware and never pay any deposits before you are either in front of the seller "in the flesh" or have the item you are looking for in your hands.
ksarh@live.fr - karine sarah the person who responded to my search
nettransport@netcourrier.com is the transport company and the phone number 00447035932130

Both are scam addresses.

Thank you for your testimony, Cris.
And I would add:
- Be careful with England, which serves as a cover for West African scammers...
- Be cautious of phone numbers like +44 70 xxxxxxx : these are Flextel numbers that redirect your calls to the scammer's mobile (in this case, to Africa)
- These numbers can be obtained remotely; the lucky callers pay a surcharge that finances the service...

Hello, I just read all your responses and I almost fell for a dream apartment:
80 m2 in the Sentier area of Paris for 1100 euros per month, furnished... I'm forwarding the email to you; if you receive the same, be careful:
Hello Jerome,
I am currently in London on a business trip for a few months
I can send you the keys to the apartment for a visit
Before everything, I would ask you for proof/guarantee of your solvency for the amount of 400 euros (i.e., 50% of the deposit)
I have a quick solution that reassures us both
If you have the amount available in cash (400 euros, fees included), please make a payment in the name of your brother/parents via Western Union money transfer here:

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a vehicle. The person tells me that he would go through an agency because he is a police officer and has been transferred (he is in France and not abroad like in the posts you have) to another position, but his car is still at his old home.
He asks me, if I want, to contact him at a number starting with 00 44 ....
He asks for no deposit, not a penny without having seen, tested, and checked the vehicle's papers.
I went to the police station to make sure he is indeed a police officer, which was confirmed to me.
Can I trust this kind of person?

Hello..
Be careful with the verification... If a copy of the ID card has been sent to its legitimate owner (maybe 'gendarme') but there is a possibility of identity theft.. The gendarme having sent a copy to a scammer who in turn uses it for his own benefit..
If the number is in the form +44 70x yyyy it is a sure and certain scam! (Number redirected FLEXTEL..). If the person is in France, why then a U.K. number starting with +44..?
It's more than suspicious..
Be cautious..

Re:
If these documents were 'kindly' provided by a victim, then these docs indeed belong to Mr. X, owner of vehicle Y. A verification will confirm that these docs are not forged, but in NO CASE will they indicate whether your interlocutor is really Mr. X!!
Caution... The only way to verify: find the phone numbers listed in the 'directorye and call Mr. X to talk to him about his vehicle... Or go through the Gendarmerie so that they can contact their supposed colleague (home or work..).
The number in +44 is completely opaque, especially if it is a FLEXTEL number..
Caution, I don't feel too good about this 'affair'..

same thing for me with an ad on Le Bon Coin: sale of a rare car at a low price, the name of the scam inventor: lucky brusdin. The phone number 44 70 caught my attention and I also came across your site while searching for this area code. When you call, you can easily hear sounds corresponding to a distant country...
I received this number: 00442079792699
I wanted to know if responding to a scammer could allow them to call to other places and charge my phone bill??
Thank you for your response.

Hello and thank you for this site. I am looking for a motorhome and came across a very enticing ad on Le Bon Coin. I am a very cautious person, and the person who will scam me hasn’t been born yet!!
"In fact, we have just been transferred abroad and not having the time or means to ensure the shipping of the motorhome, we decided to give it to anyone in need. It is indeed a CAPUCINE 107 MOTORHOME Like New in perfect condition, so here are the characteristics of the motorhome from the year 2006.
So please leave us an email if you are interested."
The ad starts with "in fact," no ad ever starts with that word, it sounds unsure of itself.
I think, you never know, I’ll send them an email to see if it’s true, they respond
"Hello,
We have just read your email regarding the acquisition of our motorhome and we inform you that it is still available. It has all its papers in order including (the registration document, the maintenance book, the insurance booklet, the certificate of non-pledge, the technical inspection OK and the already pre-signed donation deed that you must sign to take possession of the motorhome).
Being transferred to LONDON in the UNICEF account for a duration of 3 years, we decided to give our motorhome since after inquiries with shipping companies about the shipping of the motorhome to our new address in London, it was going to cost us very dear and that is the reason for our donation.
Before our trip, we entrusted our motorhome to a private delivery person in FRANCE who will handle the home delivery, so if you are interested, please provide us with your contact details as follows:
Name ..................................................................
First name .............................................................
Full address.........................................................
Phone numbers ...................................................
Date of availability .............................................
PS:
The €5000 represents the various expenses we incurred on the motorhome before our trip and that you will pay directly to the delivery person after the motorhome is delivered to your home.
Delivery is free for the person in France since we deposited a delivery guarantee with the delivery person before storing our motorhome with him, but it is chargeable if the person is outside France.
Here are the characteristics of our motorhome:
CHALLENGER CAPUCINE 107 MOTORHOME MODEL (2006)
REGISTRATION 4 PLACES
Mileage: 102,000 KMS
technical inspection OK
Kitchen equipped with a refrigerator
Clean water tank 120 liters - waste water 90 liters
Double glazing with mosquito net and blackout blind
Swivel passenger seat
Sink, toilet, washbasin -, shower, satellite dish, ladder, door for 3 bicycles.
Everything in very good condition.
We are waiting for your reply to get back in touch with the delivery person.
Best regards,"
From there, I push the limits and ask for a number to talk to Mrs. Mercier Angelle; finally, the so-called "she" replies by giving me her husband’s number: 0044-70-45-72-87-69
And from there, I think, strange number, I search the internet and BINGO, it’s just what I thought, it’s a scam! We really live in a world of fools!!!! But unfortunately, too many people still live in a fairy tale world and get taken in, it’s a shame....

No dealings over the Internet. Just scams!! So ask for a phone contact with the device of the person who sent you the email. They will not do it!! Don't go any further. This is indeed a scammer!

I just ran into the same problem; fortunately, I just saw your discussion, yet another too enticing ad on Le Bon Coin! Here is a copy of the 2nd email:
In order for the appointment to be effective on Saturday with you, one last formality remains to be fulfilled to guarantee that you are really interested and that you have the means to rent the house:
As soon as possible, and by Saturday at the latest, your rental application must be complete, and as for the security deposit, instead of being by check or another method for security reasons and also to reassure us of the availability of funds, we would like it to be by urgent Cash Mandate, meaning you will go to deposit one month’s rent and one month’s security deposit, which totals €1300 by urgent Cash Mandate at the post office with our details that we will provide to you later
After this operation at the post office, the post office will issue you a receipt containing our details and the deposit information that you must keep very carefully with you. Therefore, you will receive a receipt that you will confirm to us by scanning it while hiding the secret information (Deposit Codes)
On Saturday starting at 6 PM, after visiting the house, my husband will prepare a lease according to your lease duration, and we will hand you the keys to the house, then you will hand us the urgent cash mandate receipt containing the deposit information so that we can encash the security deposit if our house suits you. Otherwise, meaning if the house is not to your liking, which we would find very surprising, you can still withdraw your money with the receipt that contains the deposit information. This is in a way a guarantee from me and a reservation for you.
And the phone number is: +447035932181
