Salut, where did you get your games for your iPod Touch? Which version do you have for your iPod Touch? Is it possible for you to send them to me if you don't mind? Otherwise, is it mandatory to have an iTunes Store account to download games? Thanks a lot!

To answer your questions, I recommend that if you have an iPod touch, you update to version 2.0; there are so many more interesting options!

      Hello,
I followed your advice and bought the 2.2 update for iPod for €7.99, but when I try to download it, I get an error message 3259, and I can't get through to the end. What should I do? Thank you in advance for your response and, who knows, a solution...

Hi, I had the same problem and by disabling my antivirus + antispy and my firewall, it worked the first time.

You need to put the latest version for your iPod, it is available on iTunes but it is paid, 7.99.

It's just that if you don't have the application section, it's because you don't have the right version... upgrade!!

Your iPod must be version 2.0 or 2.1.

Merci.

Yes, you need an iTunes account to get free and paid games. There is a way to create a free iTunes account:
      1- Open iTunes

      2- Go to iTunes Store

3- Scroll all the way down to set your "My Store" to your own country if it isn't already, or if you want American applications choose "United States".

4- Go to the top (Still in iTunes Store) in "Apps" and click on "See All".

5- Choose any FREE application!!! Not paid!! Free! No matter the application, it won't even be downloaded; we use this application to create your account, and click on "Get".

6- Click on "Create New Account".

      7- Click on "Continue".

8- Check "I have read and accept the iTunes Terms and Conditions" and click on "Continue".

9- Enter your information (Your real information) such as Email address, password, secret question and answer, day and month of birth, etc. Then click on "Continue".

10- Check for the payment method "None", and then enter your personal information, First name, Last name, address, phone, etc. Then click on "Continue".

11- Go to your email inbox

12- You should have received a message from "iTunes Store..."; open it and click on the link that starts with "https://".

13- A webpage will open, and this will open your iTunes Store (If you are on Vista click on "Allow") and you will see your iTunes Store account created!

14- And there you go, your iTunes Store and App Store account is created!!! For free and without a credit card!!!

Thank you for your detailed and very clear explanation; I managed to complete this step. Now I wanted to know if I could access paid applications with your system and the paid version 2.0, or if we can find them on another site without jailbreaking the iPod. Thank you very much!

For paid applications, you have no choice but to pay for them, except for a few exceptions. But there are very good free games.

It’s shocking to see such petty people wanting to have their cake and eat it too…
Games aren’t that expensive after all! There are excellent games on the iTunes Store, I’m thinking particularly of Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil 4, Worms, and many more… Plus, these games really take advantage of the capabilities of the iPod Touch or iPhone… Honestly, I’m willing to pay the price because I know the value of things.
You should do the same; it would support the developers and it won’t harm your wallet unless you’re stingy at heart lol.

The downloaded games do not work on the iPod touch; you must purchase them.

yes but you pay for the games and then you have to pay for the software to install them which doesn't work and then you have to buy another one and so on
oh yeah, life is just an eternal exchange of bills!

Ok, I tried to install it but I can't. iTunes gives me error 1403. If you could explain it to me clearly, that would be great because I don't understand much on the other forums. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response, but I can't find the free games in the iTunes Store and I need to have version 2.0 to be able to install the games or others. I have an iPod Touch 1.1.4, can you tell me if it can work? Thanks, bye.

Have you restored your iPod before???

    1. m@iion

Yes, I downloaded firmware 2.0 for iPod, then I launched iTunes, connected my iPod, and pressed shift and restore. This allowed me to select the firmware, I opened it, and then I got error 1403. It's really frustrating because many people succeed, but I can't understand why it doesn't work. Thank you for helping me.

You just need to click on restore; you don't need firmware 2.0.
