Hello Community ^_^
This isn't really a question, but rather a solution to a problem that bothers us a lot!
Indeed, with Bouygues Telecom you must have credit to be able to check your voicemail, complete nonsense…
But fortunately, there is a solution! One that you need to know, but it's simple.
1) You call your own number
2) You don't answer and let it go to voicemail.
3) When you hear your greeting, press # using the calling phone. Not with your mobile.
4) You will then be asked for your password. If you have never done this before, it should be 0000*.
5) Once your password is entered, you can access your voicemail.
*: At worst, you can wait for your next recharge to check your voicemail and set a password.
So yes, the cost of checking isn't free. It will cost you the price of a call to a mobile. But at least, it allows you to check your voicemail without needing to recharge credit.
I hope this solution helps you and serves many people :)
Best regards,
Naï.

It is indeed a workaround solution, however, there is no default code as you mention (0000).
To set up this code (useful for checking your voicemail remotely and from abroad), you need to contact the voicemail, and then select 3, then 2, and then 1. Enter a 4-digit code and confirm with #.
This code can be changed at any time and if you forget it, just repeat this procedure.
CONCLUSION: set your code before being restricted!!!
Have a good day,

I don't have any credit and I don't plan on buying a new card because I have another number now... so I will never be able to check my message that's waiting? Thanks for replying... If anyone has a solution, please let me know, there must be a way to hack this!?!
My phone number expires on July 11, please reply as soon as possible, thank you in advance.

However, I have an Orange prepaid card, and there's no problem accessing my messages, even without credit, it's great! I thought it was the same with Bouygues, what a disappointment when I gifted a Bouygues prepaid plan to my mother, who found herself unable to check her messages without reloading credit. Bouygues = scam. Buy Orange for prepaid devices, it's the best!
lol !!! Yes, it surely must have evoked those kinds of repulsive clauses, all those tiny letters stipulated at the bottom of the page that I hurriedly signed without much choice..... Of all the laws they are required to apply to the letter, it's certainly to have us sign contracts in proper writing (even if my grandmother, in my place, had been equipped with just-revised glasses from the optician, she would certainly not have been any better off than me, and would of course, like many others, have taken the trouble to shorten this big moment when buying her rechargeable SIM card
for once, I must say I thought it would be the same everywhere and that no matter where I went, I would be screwed (...) so I must admit after reading this post that my illusions of a world I thought was already rotten could actually be EVEN more rotten after having had the opportunity to make certain choices over others
TOO BAD COMMONDIT! That's life!!

Hello, I would like to know if checking the messaging on Bouygues is free, and also how to deactivate the voicemail!
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
Hello,
I confirm that checking the voicemail is completely free! Whether you are on a plan, prepaid card, or Universal Mobile, it's free and not deducted from your plan!!!
Also, disabling the voicemail is not possible as it is a service specific to the line.
However, there is a workaround that consists of disabling the welcome message (the message that prompts to leave a message after the beep and then you hear the "beep" of the voicemail...) and replacing it with an absence message that will allow your caller to leave a message but will not allow them to leave a message on your voicemail.
To do this, contact your voicemail (press and hold 1 or dial 660), then select option 3, then option 1, and option 4. There you can record your absence message, validate it.... And when someone calls you and you do not answer (or if your mobile is turned off or in a no coverage area), the person will only hear your message and will not have the possibility to leave a message on your voicemail.
Have a good weekend,
J

Indeed, the Bouygues Telecom voicemail is a free service just like account tracking.
Reminder:
Account tracking: 630
Voicemail: 660
Attention: With the Bouygues prepaid card, the voicemail number provided in the SIM directory is 0660600001. This number is indeed the Bouygues Telecom voicemail service but it is charged. Replace it with 660 and you're all set.

Hello,
I just subscribed with BT and this morning I couldn't manage my phone, so I tried to record a personalized message in my own voice several times because I kept losing my keyboard to type in the numbers corresponding to my request...
to my surprise, I saw that I spent more than 40 minutes that have been deducted from my plan...
Thank you for letting me know, but I just checked what you said: indeed, THE VOICEMAIL NUMBER IS 0660600001, so I ended up paying.
I'm going to the store tomorrow to complain and ask for a goodwill gesture, especially since I have more than €15 in out-of-plan charges... maybe because I downloaded the Yellow Pages, played around with the views, downloaded two free apps... etc?
I feel sick about it. Because online it's free... I'm asking for explanations tomorrow...
I even wonder if connecting to maps, navigation, etc. might have contributed to this billing, even though I have a free internet subscription... I was with another operator before and I never had this kind of problem...
Well, I'll try to calm down and I'll go see the seller tomorrow. Otherwise, I'd prefer not to use the internet connection. It would be a shame, but well...
ANYWAY, THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT THAT THE VOICEMAIL NUMBER IN THE DIRECTORY IS CHARGEABLE. This is not normal. I've never had this problem...

As David mentioned (a little higher up)..... this should have been mentioned in the form of clauses in the contract you had to sign before jumping into the deep abyss of commercial nonsense
in other words, I’m really disgusted for you, sweetie, it is really SUPER ABUSIVE to do this to clients who commit like you for some time. But the basic idea (after deduction) is not for you to become a loyal customer for life, they couldn’t care less, the royal thighs of Peta to the Shnocks, whether you are a good customer or not.... you will go elsewhere and it will be the same..
I think the lesson to be learned here is that we must be vigilant about any product we are supposed to have the right to claim!!
In any case, reading all these comments has made me realize that I was treated like a “Ham” without character just because I was outraged at not being able to check my messages when the balance of my credit was close to ZERO....
Your stories with Bouygues make me believe that it must be the worst mobile access provider, even if there isn’t one to buy the other, I dare to think.

Thank you J for taking care of the subject :)
However, regarding the fact that checking the voicemail is not free, it is indeed not a scam as David clearly stated. However, I don't think it's right to still have to pay to check your voicemail. It's already necessary to pay to keep your line....
Apparently, you know BT well. I've been with them for almost 5 years with the same number (Christmas gift ^^). I've lost my phone several times and I've always recovered my number (thank you BT!). However, my only drawback with BT is this black spot: the paid voicemail consultation.
I'm considering going to SFR (while keeping my number of course) for that. Plus, BT took a long time to come out with the €5 top-ups. And I don't even know if they offer "€5 for unlimited SMS for 5 days"? If they do, I'll stay!
Thank you! :)

Hi Nai,
Consulting the voicemail is completely free! Whether you are on a Bouygues prepaid plan, Universal Mobile prepaid/plan, or a plan, it is entirely free and not deducted from your plan/recharge. However, there is a peculiarity for Bouygues prepaid cards and Universal Mobile prepaid cards. Let me explain...
You have the option to check your voicemail (always for free) until the end of the validity of your credit even if it is depleted.
For example: if you buy a €10 recharge card on 01/01/2008 valid for 15 days. If on 02/01/2008 you have consumed all your credit, you can still check your voicemail until 16/01/2008 (the end date of your credit validity).
Regarding the €5 card, it does not exist at the moment, but maybe one day it will!!! ;-)
Have a nice day,
J

Hello to you who apparently don’t know the news:
Well no, be informed that the new recharge (rarely found, according to the tobacconist who sold me a recharge for 5 euros which allowed me to use unlimited texts for 5 days following the purchase)
was on July 25, 2012, bought at the tobacco shop at the bottom of my place, requested to be paid by card with my cigarettes.
According to him, there would be no more than 3 or 4 points of sale for this formula in Rennes (35 - Brittany)
I don't find this very interesting, especially since the tobacconist didn't tell me that my consumption did not affect my credit usage.
On the other hand, the principle is nice, via its server (probably Wi-Fi or something, I’m not really sure), without the need for codes or other ridiculous things to set up. In this case, you pay the tobacconist in question (provided you find one who operates in this brand new way), you simply give him your 5 euros, then your phone number, and that's it: two minutes later, you can flood the whole world with your most passionate texts...

You're right! We shouldn't say that checking the voicemail is chargeable. I admit it.
Even though calling the voicemail doesn't count against the credit, you still need credit (or credit validity date, as you said) to check it.
By the way, regarding this aside, I believe it's new, right? Didn't it used to cost €0.15 to check your voicemail?
I have the SPOT advantage, I absolutely need €0.15 to use the credit offered by the ad, it’s a bit sad after all...
Thank you for your response. Are you keeping an eye on the topic? lol

To be completely honest, I work for Bouygues, but in the GP Plan section and not on prepaid systems.
As for the credit, at one point it was the case for the €0.15, but that must have changed as it is no longer stated in the tariff guides.
However, for the €5 card, I wish you luck, but there is no certainty. It's up to you to see if the offer comes out!!! I will know at the same time as you :-)
However, the SPOT offer is very interesting. Always remember to make your long calls on the recharge to avoid having several deductions of 20 seconds of ads...

I inquired about the plans offered by BT.
There’s one that interests me: Blocked Plan with Unlimited SMS & Music 24/7 + Unlimited Windows Live Messenger 24/7 starting at €24.90/month with a 24-month commitment.
I can't subscribe to this plan at the moment. I hope it will still be available in a few months...

Good evening everyone, so here it is, I have a big problem with my phone.
Let me explain,
I received 2 MMS from my boyfriend but unfortunately I don't have any credit to read them, so it says "retrieval failed"
I went to the Bouygues Telecom website and to read the MMS you need an ID address but I don't have one, so how can I read my MMS??
Please help me, the MMS will erase after 10 days :(
Thank you in advance.

Well, on one hand, you can't listen to your voicemail if you have no credit, and if you call your number and reach the voicemail, you also pay. Bouygues is the biggest thief. I'm with them; today I'm a single mother and my work contract was not renewed. I'm raising my daughter alone with no possibility of canceling my contract that dates back 4 days. BOUYGUES, THE BIGGEST THIEF.
Hello,
There is no default code (0000 or 1234) for checking the voicemail remotely. It must be personalized from your mobile.
How to do it? Contact the voicemail and as soon as the greeting message starts, select option 3, then option 2, and finally option 1. There, you need to enter a code (4 digits) and confirm it by pressing the pound key: #
After that, it is possible to check your voicemail remotely. This code is also required for checking your voicemail abroad.

Hello Mr. J who works at Bouygues-Télécom
I borrowed a prepaid mobile phone from Bouygues last week because I was going on a trip (I don't have one of my own); I used it once (for 1 minute to tell someone to come pick me up at a certain time). I didn’t receive any messages during the week.
Last night, the person who lent me the phone ran out of credit, and this morning at the agency, they told her to contact 1034 to refill the credits online, which she did, and they asked her to write to customer service by registered letter because the date has been exceeded for more than 24 hours... how can we get through this: is this the beginning of a hellish chain? Knowing that there’s quite a lot of credit on the card in question (it’s mainly used by her to make calls!).
Thank you for your response
For the moment, my phone call will cost me 100 euros: I can’t let her lose all that money, but I hope to validate the number one of customer relations and the phrase from Bouygues’ voicemail: the spirit of service.

Good evening JM,
To be honest, I didn't quite understand your request!!!
However, I want to reassure you on several points, namely:
- Contacting the Bouygues Card Customer Service does not cost €100 for each call,
- Credit does not expire on its own; if your friend has none left, it's because there have been usages (calls, texts...) or the credit validity date has expired,
- If the credit has been used up, it will not be restored by Customer Service (whether by phone or registered letter); otherwise, usage would be free!
- Finally, we are indeed #1 in customer relations, for the 3rd consecutive year :-)
I hope I have addressed your concerns.

Hello Drazaa,
If when you contact your voicemail from your mobile and you are asked for an access code and you don't remember it, then you need to call Customer Service to request a reset from the Network Service (by default, your code will be the current year, which is 2009). The resolution time is 24-48 hours. However, your line must still be active.
If when you contact your voicemail from your mobile and you are not asked for a code, then you can change the current code without being asked for the old one.
To do this, call 660, then press 3, then press 2, and again, press 2. You set a 4-digit code and validate with #.
I hope I have answered your question.

Hello, I have another problem concerning the password, but not the same, the one INSIDE the phone.. to add security to the folder, or something else...
The phone comes from my mother who forgot the password, I would like to know a way to recover it :/
(PS: I am indeed talking about the password, not the PIN, I have the PIN)

Hello, J
When I go to check my messages (660), I'm immediately asked for my access code. Since I don't know it, I would like to know what to do. Thank you for your response.

My problem is that I am with Virgin and I set a password for my voicemail but I didn't define it. Then I tried using 0000 and a bunch of other combinations but none of them work. After that, I called customer service but there is no option to reset the voicemail password. So here I am, I can't access my voicemails. Could someone please help me :)
It all depends on the plan you have. Are you on a UM plan? Or on a Bouygues prepaid card?
What is your current credit amount? (checkable online).
