Stuttering PC Solved

Question

Hello,

Here is my problem, my PC is stuttering. Let me explain, every 2 seconds or so, the PC freezes for half a second. When I watch a video, it stutters, when I type, it stutters, the display stutters, the sound stutters... in short, you understand that it quickly becomes annoying. What can I do?

It's an HP Pavilion dv4000 laptop that is two and a half years old.

Hello

Try to close all non-essential programs (next to the clock).
If it's still the same: run a scan with an effective anti-spyware, even with two different anti-spyware programs.

For free, you have options: SpyBot Search & Destroy, Adaware 2008 free, Asquared Free,

There is something that is unusually consuming the RAM of the PC.

You can do a simple test to see what is consuming the most:

Open the task manager (right-click on the taskbar and open the manager)

And check which process is using the most resources.

Be sure to note its name, so you can do some research.

For anti-spyware, I have AVG, and it doesn't find anything. As for the process that's using the most resources, it's Firefox...

It smells like a hard drive problem... Is your PC a laptop? Desktop? Is it new?
