How to boot into MS-DOS at startup?

Hello,
The ntfs.sys file has been deleted, so I can't start Windows XP.
I would like to launch MS-DOS at startup on my Medion MT 267, the F8 key doesn't work....
I have launched it before, I know it's a complicated command but I can't remember it!!!!

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.14

I have Windows 7, and to enter MS-DOS, at startup, I press F10 (if it doesn't work, keep the key pressed) then Esc. On Windows 7, you press F8 and choose Command Prompt in safe mode.
