Remove "MERGEFIELD" from the field name

Hello,
I created an invoice template using mail merge. So far, no issues, but I must have clicked somewhere because instead of the fields "Company_Name" there is now {MERGEFIELD "Company_Name"}.
Furthermore, when I click on the ABC button to merge, nothing happens, whereas usually the client's name and address appear.
How can I revert the field to how it was?
