Frappez le F1 Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

for some time now, every time I start my Dell Dimension 2400, it opens to a black screen with this message:
Primary drive 1 not found
Strike the F1 to continue F2 to run the setup utility

If I choose F1, Windows XP starts without any problem.
But it's still annoying.
So, from time to time, I choose F2, but nothing works, I've tried all possible and imaginable boot sequences, and nothing helps.

Thanks in advance to anyone who could enlighten me, as I hate not understanding, even though this problem doesn't really compromise the functioning of my PC.

In the BIOS, load the default setup settings.

bios, when you want to exit, there's "save and discard the changes", ... lots of options like that logically and you have to do "load default setup" or something along those lines.

I solved the issue on my own, like a big boy. Well, almost :-) !

and for the settings it's DELL, I have a friend who turned on his Dell PC for the first time and nothing happened, the BIOS chip had burned out and Dell doesn't sell spare parts, I won't tell you the rest

I survived with difficulty lol
but it's really nice to have people like that in a week we practically only did PC disinfections so after 3 4 you get the hang of it lol
