Attention new scam via SMS!!!

I don't know if it's specifically targeting the elderly (my father received it), but I admit it's confusing:

you receive a SMS titled: Com: you have a message pending ... AND it continues when you open it with, to consult it send QUI to 73131 (0.5e + PX1 SMS) .
Well, I think everyone understands now!!!
This SMS scam is designed to make you believe in a (possibly upgraded) service from your operator that announces the arrival of a message in your voicemail.
I have no hesitation in giving you the number of the person who sent it: 06 23 99 75 29.

I just received a text on my phone that prompted me to do a little research online, and that's how I discovered all your testimonies. The message says: "Interactive voicemail: 1 new video message; at 10:23. Click on http://repsms.mobi/rr.php?k=15337177," the message comes from a mobile number 06 20 66 46 43; and this is not the first one I've received.
About 15 days ago, I received another one from a mobile saying: "I couldn't find another way to get in touch with you, please call me back." Suspicious, I called from a landline, and I ended up with an old greeting message of mine that is no longer current... A bit creepy at the time, but I wondered how these little tricksters manage to fish out old personal archives like that old greeting message I had recorded..... So, be cautious and remember that any old acquaintance who truly wants to contact you will always find a direct way to reach you without making you call back. If it’s not the case, then consider it a scam. Good luck to everyone, and stay cautious.....

No, everyone receives it.

In 2007/2008, there was a 200% increase in spam and other related issues..

The government is starting to react, we may hope for a decrease in this kind of thing, but we will probably have to wait at least 3 years..

We need to think simply:

1) my number is private, so if I don't know the person, it's SPAM
2) NEVER call a suspicious number, for example: 01434 or 088980405.
3) don't fall for messages like: you have a message or what are you waiting for to call me and so on..
4) and NEVER respond to a SPAM message!!! Because if you do, you're in for an endless stream of spam and more seriously, you could block your phone or be charged astronomical amounts by replying to a message or sending back certain characters #01&...

If you are a victim of this type of spam, report it to the appropriate services.
This will cost you two non-premium SMS included in your plan if you have one:
- the first to forward the message you received
- the second to provide the sender's number

The more of us there are to denounce these scams, the more attention will be paid to these senders. This will lead to financial sanctions or even the closure of premium numbers, and for the most serious cases, a referral to the police.

For my part, it would be advisable to highlight the financial interest of operators to outright ban them from dealing in premium numbers as long as they do not have control over them (or the legal means to do so). Indeed, the sanctions fall on the using company, but we must not forget that the operator benefits from it (until the number is closed), so they are an accomplice and receiver: since they will demand payment of the bill, they should also be sanctioned on the profits generated by the abusive use of these numbers.

I received exactly the same message and the number was the same, is there a risk for those who recharge their phone with a credit card that they might get information?

I sensed a scam and of course I deleted this message, these idiots directly tell you to send a text to 81056 to watch a video from a number I don't know.
I remind everyone who might not know that to read a MMS PHOTO OR VIDEO it's free, we receive a text that tells us that a certain number has sent us a MMS and if we want to read it, we just need to go to our operator's website and enter the given code. So if someone tells you to send a text to a fake number, don't do it, there's no text to send to read a MMS.

I called the number back and reached the voicemail
I read that these are real numbers chosen by a machine and never the same, obviously.

Personally, I just received a text from 37001 informing me that I have "a message regarding the sale of my house." Strangely, I am selling my house and I have an ad on the number one real estate classifieds website and on a blog, with my phone number...
Not cool :(
For those who believe in "bots" or other software that generate numbers like crazy, I don’t believe it because in my case, they know what they're talking about.

This morning at 5:00 AM, I was abruptly awakened by a text message containing a simple number 08.99.23.09.02 from 06.13.70.51.43. This had happened to me several times before during the day, and I had never called back, sensing it was a scam.
But this time it was the last straw, I contacted SFR after seeing several websites about these numbers, so here are the tips they gave me:
DO NOT RESPOND STOP, because that’s their goal and you will be overcharged.
NO POSSIBILITY TO BLOCK the number, because phones can do it only for numbers, not for texts...
NO POSSIBILITY to know where these calls come from, even with reverse directories as they are often foreign numbers.
We have all been randomly targeted...

So the first solution is to delete and be done with it, and above all, put your phone on silent at night to avoid being awakened....
Secondly, we can form a group and file a complaint....

Hello everyone,
For my part, despite subscribing to SFR's red list service, I have been regularly receiving messages from 06 31 27 27 88 for the past month. It's enough to make my friend jealous: "I really want to see you again", "I can't stop thinking about you, how can you forget me", "I have never forgotten our steamy night."
In the end, he responded from his mobile and is now receiving spam from 06 13 80 98 14 inviting him to check his messages by replying via SMS to 73131 (no pricing information provided).
To calm things down, customer service indeed advises sending a "stop".
However, it is difficult to completely eradicate these SPAM messages from the 06...
If you have other solutions, we are interested.

If you send STOP, it must be in uppercase letters and not in lowercase

Hello, I received the same message "RNC" and I replied -_-', let me explain: I skimmed through the message and thought I was dealing with MSN mobile that sends me the same kind of message when someone messages me and I'm not online. But now I get a few messages every day like: "I want you to be mine" or "why aren't you talking to me anymore?"
Now I'm a bit worried about whether I could be spied on, or at least whether they could have information about me due to the calls or texts I send.

Well, now that you're on a list, you might get bothered more frequently, but it should eventually stop, especially after filling out the government form (address provided a few messages ago). Just stop responding, as for the fear of being spied on, I don’t believe that at all, unless you have an iPhone, then it might be possible, but I don't think anyone with those skills would waste time spying on people...

Yet another fool who got caught... ME!!!!!!!!!
I received the same message as you all on 06/26/2008 from the number 0614551055 saying "Com: You have a message waiting, to consult it send an SMS to 73131 (0.5e +Px1SMS)." Like a curious fool, I replied!!!!
Then right after, a message from 73131 "Com from Sabrina: Hello hello! It's the prettiest girl in EPINAY - SUR - SEINE knocking at your door."
Then 1 hour and 30 minutes later a second message: "com from Sabrina: darling, what are you doing?"
Then on 07/07/2008, yet another message from someone else this time: "Com from lastar4: How many times can you make love in one night? When I leave, I don't want to stop..." (I wrote the message letter for letter, so the spelling mistakes are not mine!!!! ;)"
