Hello
I received a photo with a link starting with
https://mmsp.onoffapp.net/
Is it fraudulent and what scam is it related to, how do they operate?
Thank you

    Hello,

Frequently, this kind of link is used to hide a premium rate number....

In short, just like with emails, when we receive a MMS or SMS from an unknown source, we refrain from opening it and even more so from clicking on any link it contains...

      Thank you for your response,
Actually, it's a photo that a lady I contacted once after she posted her number on a website (M/F) sent me following some SMS exchanges
I wonder if there is and how the scam works if it is one.
      Best regards

@Mortimer256In some cases, if you reply to the text message, it is automatically redirected to a premium rate number...

In other cases, the person uses this to limit the possibilities of tracing back to the source... This can be a way to protect oneself... but it can also hide other shady dealings to come...

      In short, be careful....
