Hello,

If someone could help me, that would be great!!
Actually my PC has been BEEPING for several weeks and now it’s really starting to drain me!!
I have no idea what is going on... it’s all day but intermittent! Sometimes it goes ping-ping, sometimes it just beeps once and it starts again with 2 beeps and more ping-ping, bref !!
What is it??? Finally, what could it be?
I took it all apart to see if something had moved.. the memory sticks etc but I don’t see anything at all ???
On the Internet I do see PCs that BEEP but with startup problems, whereas mine boots fine!
Finally I’ve noted some slowdowns sometimes (mouse and keyboard) but now, for example, they work perfectly and it beeps like crazy!
Thanks a lot for helping!!
Big hugs

The battery is located on the motherboard and it’s a flat metal-colored battery. If you can’t find it, go on the net to Google Images and type “motherboard” and you’ll see a close-up of what it looks like… Then once you’ve found this famous battery, remove it, let it rest for a good while, and put it back to see if it beeps still, or even buy a new one. If it still doesn’t work, it might be one of the RAM sticks. Leave just one on the motherboard and test to see if it beeps still, one by one. You try, you attempt, and you tell me everything about it. Bizzz, good luck.

I removed the BIOS battery, but when you say “a long while,” about how long is that roughly?
