Hello everyone,

My laptop emits a high-pitched, continuous beep when starting up. I've read in your tips that this sound may come from the processor being too hot. Can this overheating also be a factor at the time of the startup of the device?

Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

If I understand correctly, when you start it, it beeps continuously but manages to start normally (aside from the beeping that drives you crazy)?

If that's the case, check if you have a key on your keyboard that is stuck, and if you have a mouse, unplug it. A keyboard or mouse malfunction that sends something continuously can cause this too.

A classic example is leaving a document on your desk that presses one or more keys while you've just installed new software (it's the document for the new software) and the PC reboots... it usually has its little effect!

Hello! Finally, thank you! I was doing a search because I had a problem with a continuous beep. And it’s here that I found my issue. Can you imagine, I had a stuck key! Phew! I was worried! Thanks again!

Thank you, my problem is solved. It was the keyboard keys that were causing it.

Thank you very much for this information, because this morning my computer was beeping and I didn't know what to do. It was due to the mouse. Now I can work peacefully, a big thank you.
