Torrent: red arrow down! Solved

Question

Hello,
I am a brand new user of BitTorrent and when I download, a red arrow pointing down appears next to the download title! o_O
I have no idea what that means! Is it good? Is it bad? If so, can it be fixed?

The red square with a downward arrow means that the file is downloading but there is a problem with the site from which the tracker originates; this may slow down the download speed of the file but not the quality. Registering on the site in question can resolve the issue in most cases...

Right-click on the torrent, the line where the download is located, then simply "refresh the torrent". I did it, it works!!!

If there are no seeders or leechers on your torrent, then it's normal for it to be red; if that's not the case, try the link again, it works.

Hello everyone I think I know why it might be because you are not sharing the file or there is no request since bittorrent is a sharing software at its core that might be why the arrow is red

It’s because of the RATIO a copy-paste:
The Ratio

- At the beginning of the P2P BitTorrent transfer protocol, Trackers were what we now call public Trackers. These Trackers only keep a record of the list of Seeders and Leechers and provide this list on request.
- The popularity of the protocol quickly attracted Big Leechers who did not participate in sharing. From this problem came the solution of a private Tracker, an intelligent Tracker that keeps statistics on its users, thereby forcing them to maintain a minimum level of sharing to keep a good ratio and thus continue downloading.
- The ratio is used to distinguish good sharers from bad ones and thus eliminate the bad apples from the community to make way for the members who want to share and benefit the community.

The rule:
- The Ratio is the quotient of the amount of data you have sent (Upload/Seed) and the amount of data you have received (Download/Leech).
- So if you leech more than you seed, the ratio will be less than 1 and greater in the opposite case.
- It is important to distinguish between your overall ratio and your individual ratio for each torrent on which you are a Leecher or Seeder. The overall ratio takes into account the total of your uploads and downloads since your registration on the site. The individual ratio takes into account the values for each torrent.

Examples:
- If you have downloaded nothing but have seeded, your ratio will be Infinity ("Inf."). If you have sent neither received anything, the ratio is "---".
- But if you have sent/seeding 6GB and received/leeching only 2GB, your ratio will be "3.00".

PS: On this Tracker, we recommend always maintaining a ratio of 1.00 & + in order not to have download limitations, although the minimum required is 0.75.
