Hello,
For several days now, I have been receiving messages like "Benoit, 22 years old, wants to meet you and can't leave you his number, call 0899781646 with the code 632282!" (€1.35 + €0.34 per minute)
Well, I thought I would receive one and that's it.
But I'm getting several a day! "It's Benoit, remember me? Call me back at 08... please!" "You read Benoit's message at 1:26 PM, call him to say yes or no!"
By the way, while I'm writing this message I just received "Benoit, 22, left you his number this Friday morning, note the beginning of the number (067774) then call 08.... to see what happens next!"
This summer in July, I had the same thing with "Cécile wants to see you," for about two months, but the messages were scary like "I'm in the parking lot of your work, call 08... to tell me when you finish so I can meet you in front of your car" or "I just crossed paths with you and you didn't get my number! Call and I'll turn back so we can see each other!"
Anyway, very creepy and annoying all of this!
Do you know how to stop receiving these messages?
I have never signed up for a dating chat or anything like that since I've been married longer than I have had this number...
Thank you for your help.

This comes from the company Index Multimedia based in Toulouse (head office)
I worked for them and indeed they send SPAM to all mobile phone owners - all you have to do is download, for example, a ringtone with your mobile and they retrieve your phone number to harass you; all of this is of course false - these messages are then animated by hosts on the company Index Multimedia's channels - there is a channel in Toulouse under the name TAKTIL
Attack them because all of this is false, you will never see anyone, and believe me, they manage a huge amount of audiotel numbers - fortune-telling - websites etc., and all of this is just animated by people paid to pretend to be ordinary people like you and me looking for a connection
Moreover, the director of the company is named Mr. Vincent Levy.

Hello,
I also receive texts from Madeleine, Nicole.....and many others for a few days now. It's driving me crazy!!
I found this article online:
The 33700 is a service launched by the Secretary of State for Consumption, Luc Chatel. It allows you to report any spam or unwanted SMS.
This service was launched on November 15, 2008, and nearly 200,000 reports of fraudulent SMS have been made.
The results are convincing as 150 SMS services have been blocked.
How does it work?
As soon as you receive an abusive SMS on your mobile, you can report it in seconds by forwarding it via SMS to the number 33700.
Step 1: You receive an abusive message via SMS.
Step 2: You forward this SMS as is to the number 33700.
Step 3: You receive a message from 33700 inviting you to complete your report by sending back to 33700 the number from which you received this abusive SMS (to facilitate processing, send only the number, without adding any comments before or after).
Step 4: You receive a message from 33700 confirming that the report is complete.
How much does it cost?
Sending an SMS to 33700 is charged at the normal SMS rate (not premium). It is included in the mobile operators' plans.
I have forwarded the fraudulent texts hoping that it works!!! And that it can help you!!
Have a good evening.

Ah, it relieves me to read that. I was also thinking about spam, but after the 15th message, I started to freak out, especially since if you listen, there’s a guy who talks saying he saw you—anyway, it’s something out of a psycho thriller. Such methods seem more than questionable regarding the law, don't they?
Hi, I totally agree with you, I find it really limiting... It's harassment and I'm pretty sure it's punishable by law. As long as this issue doesn't rise to the higher echelons of justice and remains trivial, no one will lift a finger to curb this phenomenon. But still, it can ruin couples and instill fear in some people—it's ridiculous. I've also tried the STOP thing, it works half the time. I no longer get calls from 10133, but from another number that does the same thing. Fortunately, my fiancée has also experienced this, so she knows, but just imagine if it's a couple that's struggling... Anyway, we need to find a way to put an end to this problem.

Thank you very much for the "STOP" tip; it protects my fiancée from being harassed by this "Benoit."

I notice that I'm not the only one receiving this kind of text message.
Either this 'Benoit' is a crazy flirt, or it's a scheme to get people
to call/text and collect some money.
There's no way it's a dating site; I rather think it’s a site that got your
number and sold it to a third party (a fairly common practice of selling personal info).
As for me, I’m going to let 'Benoit 22 years old' send texts (anyway,
I receive one a day; it’s not that annoying yet)...

Congratulations on the response: STOP
I have been receiving the same message about Benoit for quite some time!!!!
I clicked: reply
I wrote: STOP
then I sent it.
In return, here is what I received:
TOPSMS (free message) You will no longer receive messages from our service.
Thanks again.

You must sign up on a dating site, that's what it means to leave your phone number lying around anywhere.
Hello everyone, I've been having the same problem for a few months now. At first, I got caught just like everyone else, but seeing the persistence of the texts, I systematically deleted them without even responding, as it's clear it's pure and simple scam. Imagine the hundreds or even thousands of texts generated by viruses or hackers who are pocketing thousands of 13 cents or more, depending on what they promise in their messages; it can add up very quickly. And the "stop" thing is even worse because it ensures a response, meaning a forecast on the revenue these crooks pocket at our expense. Of course, know that they are aware that starting a procedure for 13 cents, or even 35 cents, or 1 euro, who is going to bother starting a legal process for so little? And they know this very well. So, for those who understand, delete without even reading; refer to the numbers; they are easy to spot. AND IT'S FREE.
PS. Yes, one more detail, they send it again after a week or two with another number and a new game or date, so don't fall for it anymore. Responding "stop" only makes you lose money. JUST DELETE, IT'S FREE, THEY WILL GIVE UP BEFORE YOU WHEN THEY NO LONGER GENERATE FUNDS TO CONTINUE SENDING TEXTS BECAUSE IT'S YOU WHO PAYS THEM!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND! ALL THOSE WHO RESPOND ARE ON FILE AND ARE HARASSED BECAUSE THEY RESPOND AND PAY, FOR YOUR INFORMATION!!!

Attention, you shouldn't just be saying nonsense! I know few people who would leave their mobile number like that on a site...
As for me, I've never frequented ringtone sites or any other pseudo-sites of that kind; it's so easy to make beautiful ringtones with MP3s instead of downloading a ringtone that costs €3, and thus the sound quality is poor, or sometimes the ringtone is no longer very faithful to the chosen piece, or the melody contains false notes... it's a horror all this, and I still wonder how it is that this still exists given the range of possibilities a mobile phone has today!! I do music production, so music is my thing, and I don't resort to this kind of site; frankly, it would be cheaper to buy the track for €1 on iTunes! (huhuhu!)...
Anyway, let's not forget that often, and this is my case here, some clever folks eager for dating sites sign up on these sites but don’t have the courage to enter "THEIR" cell number, and end up typing a random number, which isn’t theirs... Result: My cell number is so simple and somewhat "symmetric" in the organization of the digits (I’m not going to give it to you either... but let’s be clear) that someone must have ended up typing mine, and as a result, I receive their crap instead, and they must have certainly been able to finalize their registration and access the site with their email address that must be linked to my number, or something like that. In any case! Stop judging, taking shortcuts, or being a bit more extreme in your remarks; it is entirely possible to be a victim of this kind of crap without having frequented such a site! In any case, the subject of the post is not your opinion, which we couldn't care less about, and even less knowing that you think this or that, things that won’t advance the resolution of the problem! Now it's up to you to make an effort and avoid filling a post with "INAPPROPRIATE" responses, bordering on insulting and that waste everyone's time! Such responses should be suspended by a moderator in my opinion!!!
So, I already looked up online yesterday, the most common response is to reply to the number from which the texts come, with a text saying STOP. I did this because in one day, I must have received about 20 texts...
This morning, I receive another one but this time from a new number, like they must have a bunch... so I'm not going to bother losing money responding to a "BOT" that doesn't care ;) and I will inform my operator who will simply take care of it.
It should be noted that with all the major mobile operators (at least the three main ones), there is a section where you can either download or print a document to fill out for this type of issues encountered! So check your operator's website; a simple letter or email can do the trick.

Hi. Thanks for asking the question like that, I was able to send STOP as well. For about 15 days, I kept receiving a lot of messages from Benoît, 22 years old, who really wanted to meet me. He seemed desperate to see me. The thing is, I’m a guy so he must be bi! There was also Cécile, 28 years old, and Sylvie, 40 years old, who was alone for the weekend because her husband was away! In fact, they are hosts of a kind of phone sex service. In one of the messages I received, he offered me a duet with Sylvie. It should also be noted that when you send STOP, the message is free.
WELL! I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one being attacked by that famous Benoit!! I'm going to hurry up and say STOP!!!!
Do you know what site this could be from??
Do you know what site this could be from??
you will notice still considering the responses on the forum that:
women receive messages from boys,
and men receive messages from women.
This means that the sending (even multiple) is still targeted.
This means that at some point or another you registered on the internet.
It should be noted that when you accept the general conditions on a forum, a website, etc., this includes that the partners of this site can exploit the data.
So I sign up, for example, on a motorcycle site, which is a partner of Meetic.
My desire is to be able to talk about motorcycles with other people through this site, but Meetic can retrieve my information.

False because as mentioned in the topic title:
"This summer in July I had the same thing with "Cécile wants to see you", for about two months, but the messages were frightening like "I am in the parking lot of your work, call 08... to tell me when you’re leaving and I'll meet you in front of your car" or "I just crossed you and you didn’t take my number! Call me and I’ll turn back so we can meet!" "
I am a woman and before receiving texts from Benoit, I had to deal with Cécile. I think it's just a coincidence.

Hello
I have exactly the same problem except that for me Stop doesn't work!! They tell me: "TOPSMS sorry we did not understand your request, your cancellation cannot be processed. Contact us: hotline.mobile@indexmultimedia.com"
I emailed them a week ago but still no response!
I'm starting to get fed up, I receive at least 6 a day
If you have any other solutions, thank you

I couldn't unsubscribe either. So, I sent them a pretty scathing email threatening to seek advice from a consumer association. Since then, no news!
""STOP" in uppercase works really well. A big THANK YOU
I was fed up with this harassment.
I think they are breaking the law with their methods...
Best wishes to everyone.

I already posted here, it's been two months that this has been going on, about one message every 2 days, today's message:
"Tuesday, May 20: Benoit left his phone again this morning for the 6th time (call him during the day). Phone the ... code ... and note his phone number..."
