Hello,
My problem is as follows, despite having disabled cookies, I can't access http://deviantart.com, nor can I log in to it. All the adjacent domains work (e.g.: cosfrog.deviantart.com) Also, myspace.com works, but all direct links to profiles do not work. (e.g.: https://myspace.com/ https://myspace.com/allshallperish works (both links are supposed to access the same page.)
Moreover, the site https://www.cracked.com/ does not work at all. I tried disabling my firewalls, I went to Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies>Exceptions>[3 sites named above]>Accept. on Mozilla Firefox and the equivalent on Internet Explorer, but nothing works. Also, after looking at your FAQ, I requested ActiveX for downloads.
Here are the errors being given to me:
“The connection has failed”“Firefox cannot establish a connection to the server at address profile.myspace.com”
#The site may be temporarily unavailable or overloaded. Try again later;
#If you are unable to browse any site, check your computer's network connection;
#If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure Firefox has permission to access the Web.”Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.14

Hello everyone, so here it is, I had the same problem as you, unable to connect to "flickr.com", all the other sites were accessible though.
Basically, I managed to solve my problem thanks to "hall_21", but there's no need to delete everything in the hosts file. I just searched for the blocked site (flickr.com) in the hosts file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts". Basically, if the name of the blocked site appears in the hosts file, you just need to delete the line, then close the file and that's it.
For me, this trick worked, I hope it can help you.
If that’s not enough, here are some other suggestions:

If that’s not enough, here are some other suggestions:
- Check the system date and time (secure sites won’t work if the computer isn’t set to the correct time)!
- Try clearing your browser cache or increasing its capacity with ccleaner.
- Try disabling extensions, especially if you have an AdBlocker
- Try temporarily disabling your antivirus (this often comes from Avast)
- Try changing your DNS: Open DNS or Google DNS
