Inverter issue

Hello.

I have an APC back ups 500 cs.
For the past 3 days, the red battery change light has been permanently on, along with a shrill sound alarm.
The battery is 1 year old..........!!!!
The yellow control light for switching between mains/battery is no longer lighting up.
I think it’s no longer performing its self-test on startup. The built-in battery charger in the UPS seems to be faulty..........
The battery is discharging and the UPS isn’t indicating a fault.
I’m going to throw it away...................!!!!!!!
It’s 9 years old and has served me well.

There are many factors for an inverter not to turn on; similar problems have been resolved in the forum section of the website www.ecus.fr.

On a had a similar problem with a UPS 1000T: the front panel was flashing and emitting a beep every second. Reconnecting the UPS to the mains did not change anything.

For us, the solution was to disconnect the "battery connector" at the back: a black plastic plug shaped like a triangle.

Check the battery side which may no longer hold a charge.

my inverter won't turn on. It's not a battery or transformer issue. Apparently, nothing is burnt inside. It's the APC 650 VA brand.
