Hello,
I have an error message on my CANON PIXMA MP 150 printer: all the lights are blinking, the number 2 or an E appears on the number 6 light (number of copies). When I turn on the printer, a blank page comes out every time. When I start a print job, an error message 5100 appears on the screen, a message that suggests turning off and on the printer multiple times, but this manipulation yields no results. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it, with no result. Thank you in advance for your response. (Windows XP)

Good evening....
It has been 4 days since I gave him the link, as you may have seen, but he hasn't given any news!!!!
Maybe one of these days..........?!
Best regards,
@+- Re...
No worries about the "delay"; the important thing is that you got some help, AND ALSO that others can benefit from it by saying whether it was this link that helped you or another method...
It's nice of you to let us know anyway...
Best regards,
See you soon
P.S.: If one day one of the sites we mention goes down, and knowing that we aren't going to check it every day, it’s useful for us to know, if only so we don’t mindlessly continue to recommend it... - Hello, I am currently (or rather for several weeks now) experiencing the same problem you encountered (blinking E2 message several times + blank page coming out at startup + inability to print and error message 5100 appearing several times), but the trick with the A4 sheet folded in 4 and passed several times did not work at all. You who solved your problem, could you please tell me exactly how you did it? Thank you in advance.

Good evening....
Please check that, especially if you have changed the cartridges, or if you had them refilled....
Best regards,
See you later

Hello,
it's been 2 weeks since my Pixma displayed an error message
and it was driving me crazy!
In the manual: nothing about this
so after browsing a few forums I changed my color cartridge
and "oh miracle!" it works again
I'm furious with Canon:
how can you design a scanner printer that won't scan
when the color cartridge is empty!!!!!!!!!!
I don't see the connection, since no printing was requested.............
Anyway: know that the Pixma MP140 needs full cartridges to scan! -
Hello,
I have a Canon Pixma MP 150 that displays an error message 6 E. I had put in two generic cartridges and then I got an error message E5, which I resolved by changing the color cartridge.
Should I change the black cartridge to eliminate the problem? I think I will go for this solution but I am open to any other suggestions of course.
Thank you in advance. -
Awesome!
I had an E4 at first, I folded the paper once, and it became an E2!!
I ironed the paper again and miracle... it works again. Thank you very much, and long live the forums! -
HI,
Thank you for leaving your tip ""poupougne13" on the Forum because I had an error message E 2 and 7 and thanks to your address:

I decided to reset it because after all I wasn't losing much by trying and my error message has disappeared and now I can print again.
Miracle!!!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU Very much -

I finally found a solution, other than using a folded A4 sheet to go through the printer, as the issue for me was not caused by something jammed in the machine.
Leaving the device turned off, I lifted the cover, manually moved the cartridge carriage, and cleaned the excess ink on the two black rectangular shapes located completely on the right side of the machine (under the cartridges, before they are moved) using a slightly damp cotton swab.
Result upon restarting: no more blank sheets coming out for no reason, no more clicking noise (the carriage no longer shifts after two minutes), no more flashing E2 message repeatedly, and most importantly, the printer is working again!
I hope this response has been helpful to you. Best regards. -

Hello,
I also had an E5 error message for my Canon Pixma MP 150 printer.
I read and followed all your solutions without results. I called Canon customer service (01 70 48 05 00). One of the possibilities considered was a defect in the new ink cartridges (Canon brand). I was advised to return the cartridges I had just purchased for an exchange, with their packaging. However, this is possible only if your purchase is a maximum of 8 days old; the seller is obliged to exchange them for you, according to Canon, it’s the law... That’s what I just did, and my printer is working. Conclusion: it was indeed the new cartridges that had a problem. So it’s worth doing... before it’s too late.
