DIAGRAL telephone transmitter + ADSL FT

Good evening everyone,
maybe this question has already been asked but I can't find an answer, so if someone could shed some light on it for me.
I have a DIAGRAL brand alarm with a TT385 telephone transmitter (from the same brand) and I want to send calls to my mobile (which is on Orange), and I have a 1 MegaMax internet connection from FT with unlimited phone service on a Livebox.
My Livebox is connected to a socket in my house, at the other end of my house is my telephone transmitter, but I don't know how to connect it so that it works because today when I make a test call to my cell phone, it doesn't seem to go through. (Do I need specific sockets (or filters)?, are there any particular connections to be made??
I'm completely in the dark right now and don’t know how to solve this problem...
Thank you in advance to anyone who might be able to help me.

    Hello,

I am fully unbundled with a NeufBox and I have a Diagral TT 385 telephone transmitter. It works without any issues, but you have to be careful to connect the transmitter to the NeufBox (to the cord where the main phone is plugged) and not directly to the wall telephone socket where the NeufBox is connected.

      Hello,
But then, where did you plug in your phone if the socket is occupied by the Diagral transmitter?

      Hello,

Isn't it simpler to ask DIAGRAL about this?

As for me, I also have a Diagral alarm with a TT385 telephone transmitter, and I had to keep my subscription with France Télécom.

I should add that if there are solutions, I would really like to avoid (continuing to pay a FT subscription).

Thank you for the very useful information.

      Hello Pat60,

I insist, where did you plug in the telephone socket?

Good evening, I just installed a Diagral system with a TT390 telephone transmitter and like you, at first the transmitter's call wouldn't go through. (I have the FT plan at €39.90 with unlimited internet and phone, so everything goes through my Livebox and I don't have an FT subscription)

For my part, I managed to get it to work with an old ADSL splitter using a pass-through socket. I connect it to the Livebox,
I connect the Diagral transmitter to the pass-through socket of the splitter
and there's also an RJ11 socket on the ADSL splitter where I plugged in my landline, and it works for receiving and calling from the transmitter.

The quickest solution would be to have an RJ11 ADSL splitter, the same connection, except I would need to change the cable of the Diagral transmitter to eliminate the pass-through socket and replace it with an RJ11 cable.

      Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience, although I have a bit of trouble understanding this connection.

    Hello,

For those interested, you will find the wiring diagram of a TT390x Diagral transmitter for total unbundling with:

    - Freebox V5
    - Livebox

    in this article: https://www.01primalarme.fr/blog/archives/533

this wiring diagram example is the same for all boxes!

Hi Fred, I'm going to try your technique. For now, my transmitter is on another line. Does your idea allow to unsubscribe from the second line?

What you need to know is that in all cases of total unbundling and connected behind a box, the transmitter will make its calls to the numbers of the contacts you have registered, so yes, you can break free from FT, but...

Then, regarding the returns that the transmitter expects (among other things for acknowledgment or remote control), everything will work well if the box correctly generates the DTMF codes.

For example: when the transmitter calls, it asks you to press 0 if you want it to finish its procedure and if your box doesn't regenerate the DTMF codes correctly, the worst result you could have is that it calls the 3 numbers 4 times. To my knowledge, there are no issues with Free or Orange (except for the older Inventel boxes), but for SFR, there's a good chance that the DTMF codes won't go through. As for the other ISPs, I won't make any assumptions...
For me, if we avoid putting a neighbor on a landline, being called 4 times on a mobile phone in case of intrusion isn't that bad; it's better to have more than not enough, and it also saves money (no more FT line).

The greatest security remains the GSM transmitter with a Leclerc SIM card at €1.50 per month and €15 credit; you can be really at ease for not much money (you'll need to account for the price difference of the transmitter).

Hello, I’m installing professional daitem, which means the big sister of diagral, and I would like to know if the wiring is the same for an ADSL 485-21X telephone transmitter and an autonomous vocal and digital RTC transmitter reference 495-21F. Thank you.

Attention, in Daitem the equivalent in RTC is indeed the 495-21F, in this case the principle is the same. However, a 485-21x is an IP transmitter so it connects to the box; still, it is always possible to use a 485-21x as an RTC transmitter since it does that in addition to the IP, but the 495-21F remains more interesting if that is all you are doing.

I just installed a Diagral alarm with TT390 transmitter.

I am a Freebox subscriber in total unbundling.

Everything seems to be working. Here’s my connection:

1/ Connection of the small cable provided by Free: RJ11 to the Freebox, free female socket
2/ Connection of the transmitter cable: T plug into the female free socket mentioned above
3/ Connection of my phone: T plug of the phone into the socket from point 2

I did almost the same setup behind the Free box but with RJ11 connectors. It works, but I no longer have a ringtone on my phone (Siemens Gigaset 2030) when both the phone and the transmitter are connected together. However, the transmitter works well behind the Free box and I have a dial tone on the phone.

Finally, I followed the same procedure as Jeromel and everything works fine. I also retrieved the phone ringtone. Thank you.

If you are on total unbundling: 2 solutions either a GSM transmitter (with a phone SIM card) or a digital transmitter
if you are on partial unbundling the analog transmitter connects to the incoming line by installing a master filter to avoid interference

      Hello,

Regarding this question, here is DIAGRAL's response.

I have a transmitter and I want to connect to ADSL, what precautions should I take?

Given the current telephone service offerings, only a standard PSTN line connected to the telephone transmitter at the beginning of the line ensures optimal transmission of alarm messages. With ADSL equipment and/or an alternative operator, it is essential to place a master filter at the arrival of the PSTN line, which must always be kept, allowing the telephone transmitter (connected at the beginning of the line) to remain prioritized and transmit alarm messages under the best conditions.

Use of the PSTN telephone transmitter (in residential calling) depending on the type of telephone subscription
1 • Partial unbundling (France Telecom subscription retained). Correct operation provided a master filter is properly installed (or a simple filter on the single socket of the residence).
2 • Total unbundling (France Telecom subscription canceled). Risk of malfunction in case of:
power outage, loss of ADSL synchronization, signals generated by the black box (1) not conforming to those of France Telecom,
      (1) Freebox, Neufbox, Cbox, Aolbox, Alicebox, Livebox

DIAGRAL ADVICE for optimal operation in total unbundling: the Diagral GSM telephone transmitter.

    Hello,
I am about to purchase a Diagral set and I would like to find a sponsor before sending back my warranty certificate so that both the sponsor and I can receive a Diagral accessory each. (https://www.diagral.fr/alarmes-connectees

    Hello.
Partial unbundling: possible if there is a transmitter at the head of the line with a filter to be purchased from Diagral.
    Total unbundling: impossible.
    Best regards.

      Hello
I plugged my telephone transmitter into the output of the Freebox and I restarted my Freebox, and if you don't have too many phones connected to the Freebox and your phone works, it should work
      Best regards
      Michel

I confirm that the phone plug of the transmitter should be connected to the output of the box, with a filter usually provided by your ISP.
For my part, it works with partial uncapping with an old SFR Neuf Box.
