Hello,
I'm struggling in vain to watch videos on M6 Replay. I meet all the required conditions:
- Internet 7
- Windows Media 11
- XP SP2
- Broadband Internet (Club Internet)

When I open the page, it says error on the page
When I launch the video, it says "opening media"
Once it's ready and I hit play, it says "opening media" again and it doesn't work
In the end, the program is not responding
Thank you for your help

Hello, does your method only apply to Windows XP? Because you mention Windows Media 9, but for those who have Vista, Windows Media Player is natively version 11.

Yes, it's just for XP and that's the problem. I'm searching in vain for a solution because my main system is Vista, and so far I've only managed to get the M6 program to work by emulating XP thanks to Microsoft Virtual PC. I'm looking into the licenses for protected content, but nothing is working. Moreover, M6 doesn't respond to emails. I'm at an impasse. I've tested M6 Replay on 5 Vista machines and nothing works. I think there might be an incompatibility with Vista or a missing component, but I don't have an answer at the moment.

I don't think this is my problem...
To summarize:
On the M6 Replay site, when I open the page, there is a "page error" at the bottom left next to a yellow triangle. I can't watch the videos, yet the site displays correctly... "connecting to media in progress" - "ready" but nothing happens...
- Windows XP SP2
- IE 7
- Media Player 10
Java and plug-ins updated
Same with Firefox...

Error message:

Code: 0

Internet options in security:
Plug-in active
Cookies enabled
Flash enabled etc...

I deleted the DRM files from my computer using a small program but it didn't work... and I allow pop-ups on this page

The strangest thing is that when I use another account on the computer, I can watch something.... still shows "error on the page" ... but it only plays the ads!!!! :mad:

What is ffdshow? (forgive my ignorance)
The drivers for my graphics card are up to date (I use maconfig.com)
However, I have some news... I checked execute script commands when they exist and do not ask for confirmation before playing optimized content in wmp/options/security and now I can watch ads (lol)...

Thank you for wanting to help me... I believe my case is hopeless... simply
it's not a matter of bandwidth since I have high speed
I changed media 11 to 10 with a patch: N/A
I don't even have ads anymore (too bad, I was starting to get used to them...)
I don't understand, everything is compatible with Flash Player, I have version 9, the acceleration option was already checked, the ActiveX controls are okay, I even waited 5 minutes but as soon as it tells me it's ready, it starts to open the media again... arrrrghhh

I also encountered the same issue. On my Vista setup, nothing worked; I think there must be a problem with the license acquisition for viewing protected content. However, on a virtual machine running XP, I couldn't get M6 Replay to work either. So I did some tests that ultimately proved successful.
So I uninstalled Windows Media Player 11 and reverted to the original version 9. Then, you need to go back to the add/remove programs section and uninstall all the updates for Media Player; make sure to check "show updates," and those related to Media Player are the little round ones for Media Player—there should be about 4 or 5. Once the system is clean of any traces of WMP 11, install WMP 10 http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/search.aspx?q=windows%20media, then install the patch https://www.generation-nt.com/patch-pour-windows-media-player-10-actualite-6962.html recommended by Salamandre.
Once the operation is complete, you can already use the M6 service, but it will be very choppy. So, to finish, run all the Windows Updates again and reinstall Windows Media Player 11.
And that's it. This rather tedious solution worked very well for me; I hope it helps you too.

I have another issue. When I use M6 Replay, I get an ad and at the moment of connecting to the media, it suggests that I install Windows Media Video 9 codec, even though I'm on WMP 11.

Another problem is that I can't uninstall Windows Media: in the add/remove programs, I see WMP 11 runtime and it refuses to let me uninstall it.

Solution to make M6 Replay work, you need:

Adobe Flash Player
Windows Media Player 11

If it freezes before or after the ads, it’s not a codec or software problem.
In Windows, there are blocked addresses found in a file called "hosts."
I recommend checking in windows/system32/drivers/etc/
You will find the HOSTS file>> this is where the addresses are blocked.
Open the HOSTS file with Notepad, erase everything and replace it with this:

Hi, if it can help you, I've been working on this problem (sound but no image) for half a day. I'm on Windows Vista 64, so IE7 and WMP11. I had to uninstall a codec, the FFDShow, and reinstall the Windows Media Video 9 codec; now the image appears. My current problem is that the image freezes after a few seconds while the sound continues (probably an issue with another codec). If I find a solution, I'll keep you updated.

Listen, I redid the test today on another machine running XP and it worked well, but we absolutely need to switch back to Windows Media Player 11 or else it lags too much on Windows Media 10.

However, I can't find the issue on Vista, and it's starting to annoy me, especially since M6 provides no support on this.
If anyone finds something to make this darn program work on Vista, I'm all ears.

Like everyone else, I tried to follow the settings described in this forum and it didn’t work for me
Out of curiosity, I went to the YouTube site and finally found a very stable solution
1_My main problem was that I hadn’t done a clean uninstallation of Flash Player > interferences with the remnants of the previous installation
I suggest you install the program uninstall flashplayer.exe from this link:

WARNING first download the program and then run it as an administrator after making sure to close all your applications as well as your internet sessions
once you have executed this program restart your computer
2_go to the Adobe site as an administrator and reinstall Flash Player 9
as a precaution, restart your computer
3_make sure your firewall allows cookies (medium level) and allows pop-up windows for the M6REPLAY site
4_Very important to regularly clear your browser cache (otherwise playback stutters with buffering every 20 seconds) to clear the cache:

Hello, I just wanted to point out that I had the same problem as you: sound without image, and after numerous unsuccessful attempts, I simply switched to a different search engine, and with Google Chrome, M6 Replay works perfectly (I was previously on Explorer or Mozilla).

For those who have the ad but not the continuation, personally, I just right-clicked on the video and disabled "video stage." After that, it worked perfectly again without downloading any additional codecs.

If you are abroad, you also need to have a French IP address.

I had a similar problem, IE7 Windows Media Player 11, XP, but when loading the DRM, the player would stop at "Ready" after "Connecting...". I erased all the DRMs with: http://www.napster.com/client/drmreset/DRM_reset.exe
and Miracle. Remember to back up your DRMs that are in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\. Hidden folder

Well, I've solved my problem!!! Hooray!!! I re-downloaded and installed WMP 10. Then I installed a patch for WMP 10: This patch updates the Windows Media video content in Windows Media Player 10 to enable DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA).
More specifically, this update activates Microsoft DirectX video acceleration in Windows Media Player 10, allowing video cards to use this acceleration if they are designed to take advantage of this feature.

Anyway, I was super happy, but since a problem never comes alone, now that I can watch videos, I have a buffer memory issue... I set WMP to 60 seconds (the maximum), but it cuts off every 6 minutes or so to load and so on... I'm starting to despair...
On the other hand, I installed the codec pack you recommended, but I think I didn't know how to use it because I couldn't read anything at all... it would close the page as soon as I tried to watch a video, so I uninstalled it...
Anyway, thank you very much for your attention, and if you have any ideas for my second problem, they would of course be welcome ;) :) (apparently I only have 1024 MB of memory, I don't know if that's enough...)

So, yes, it's quite a story. I say "it's working," but not perfectly. I do have some freezing of images while the sound continues, but without touching anything, the image comes back. It doesn't prevent me from watching since it's not every 10 seconds, but it would be better without it. The only show I can't watch completely is Earl, and apparently I'm not the only one. But this is the beginning of this site, and nothing is perfect at the start, so let's wait for the improvements...

I quite agree, we tend to be a bit demanding sometimes... it's true that the site has only been around for a short while... being able to read it is already something... yet I have a friend for whom it works almost perfectly, which is why I'm questioning it. It may be due to the fact that her computer is newer; she's running Vista, WPM 11, 2058 MB of memory, G7 graphics card and all that... mine is starting to get old despite my tinkering (sniff)

Well, it still doesn't work for me, I really don't understand, I've tried everything. The only thing that has changed is that I have ads... great!
I also sent an email to M6 four days ago and still haven't received a reply, and I doubt I will get one...
I'm going to uninstall WMP11 and reinstall it, but I'm not expecting much from this step...

Moussette, I’m really sorry to see that you’re having trouble resolving your issue despite all the ideas you’ve found on this topic.
Two things: - I tried the site at a friend’s who is running Vista and WMP 11, and there was no problem playing the ad, it came right away... then you still have to wait a good 4 to 5 minutes for the requested video to start... maybe you’re not waiting long enough?

- Also, I encountered the same issue as you at one point... I could only play the ads... since I’m using WMP 10, I downloaded a corrective patch as I explained above and I was finally able to play the videos, maybe some of your ActiveX controls are not up to date, also check your Flash Player and make sure the video acceleration option is checked in WMP...

Indeed, M6 does not respond to emails :(, maybe it is a specific WMP plug-in that needs to be installed in the web browser? I don't think so because the ads work... or maybe M6 uses an encoding incompatible with Vista, I hope they will become aware of the problem.

Hello, I think I have a tip to fix the video playback issue on the M6 website.
When you watch a video, right-click on the video, a dialog box will appear, in the performance tab click on options. In "network buffering," check "buffer 60 seconds of content," and there you go. This solution works for me, I'm on Vista. The loading of the videos may take a little longer, but it allowed me to watch a video correctly for the first time. Let me know if it works for you.

For me, it's funny, the ads work very well on M6 replay but as soon as they're over, the site bugs... just by chance!! So, since I'm tired of being treated like an idiot whether it's by M6 or TF1 replay, I'm going back to downloading my series illegally!!
