DIRECTX 9.0 COMPATIBLE GRAPHICS CARD? Solved

Hello,

how do we know if our graphics card is compatible with DirectX 9.0c?

I know a lot of people have this issue... but so far, I haven't found anything on the forums!!!

I promise, in any case, if I find a solution before, I'll post it right away!!

a mystique matrox is compatible with directX 7.0 no more. (no shader)
a geforce 5 is compatible with directX 8.0 (no shader model 3.0)

directX9.0c requires at least a geforce 8 or an ati X18--

I have DirectX 10 installed.

Yeah, the problem is that I installed The Sims and I played for 2 days without any issues. But now today it shows me this message, even though I haven't touched anything on my computer, so I don't understand why it won't read it anymore. So, what should I do? I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I lost my progress. But anyway, it's still not working. I uninstalled another Sims game, and it doesn't work either. So now I know my dad will know what the problem is, but I don't want to wait for him to get home XD I want to play! :p

Try uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it; hopefully, it should detect something during the installation, and if necessary, reinstall DirectX. In any case, this problem comes either from the graphics driver installation or the DirectX installation...

I downloaded The Sims 2 online and everything works fine for installation, the game runs, but when it comes to choosing a neighborhood, there isn't any, and I need to put a neighborhood in the following file:
