Getting started with the Scala Rider team set

Hello,
I bought the Cardo Scala Rider team set and installed it on our two helmets. I can't seem to turn it on; the manual isn't very clear about how to operate it in intercom mode... I managed to pair it with my phone and that works. Is there a trick to getting it to work in intercom? 
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello,
    In order for the scala rider intercom to work, you need to pair the two devices: press the intercom buttons on the devices at the same time and after 10 seconds a red light will appear on the passenger intercom. You need to hold down both buttons for 3 seconds and then release them. The red light will change to a continuous blue light and then to a flashing blue light. The two devices are then paired. To use the intercom, you need to press lightly once
    on the lsd of each device.

      Hi, I’ve had this device for a few days. The Bluetooth phone works perfectly, but regarding the intercom, that’s not the case. I paired the two devices until the continuous then intermittent blue light appeared. The intercom works for the first few minutes and stops after one or two standby modes. What is this "lsd" button that I need to press on each device? The manual mentions a beep or two beeps to activate or deactivate the intercom. I didn’t understand what that was.
