Hello,
I have scheduled a launch of iTunes on my computer with the task scheduler. It works very well as long as my computer is on. But if I put it in hibernation, the task does not start anymore. I don't understand why.
My password is correct and all that. How can I wake the computer from hibernation if the task scheduler does not do it?
Thank you

Good evening,
I found it!
Please pay close attention to what is said above regarding the options for your task and go into the power management settings of the computer and modify the settings of your power mode. Then: modify the advanced power settings. Then go to: sleep --> allow the monitors to wake up from sleep, then --> enable (for the selected modes)
There you go, persistence pays off!! ^^

Actually, under XP, the machine can be "woken up" as long as it is simply in sleep mode.
because hibernation saves the memory to disk and cuts off the power supply => your processor can no longer keep track of time (yes, it takes care of that too) so it cannot wake your machine from its lethargy.

Hello Patrick,
If it's not too late, have you checked the properties of your scheduled task? In the "Task" tab (the first one), there is the option "Run only when user is logged on." Otherwise, make sure in the "Settings" tab, under "Idle time," you don’t have any settings that could hinder the triggering of your task.
Looking forward,
Myko

Hello,
I have the same problem.
Under Vista, there is a condition 'Wake the computer to run this task'.
Even when checking this condition as well as 'Run only when the user is logged on',
it still does not work in sleep mode?
Sometimes after creating a task, the status is 'Running' and not 'Ready', and in that case, nothing works?

Really effective since I have to type the password to turn off the sound =D
Thank you in advance!
