Hello,
why did Orange cut off my Mobicarte number? If I have to call them to ask, it’s going to cost me a fortune in communication! Do I need to buy a new SIM card?

The Mobicarte must be recharged with at least €10 once every 6 months to extend the validity period of both the reception and the phone number by 6 months. Otherwise, the number is permanently lost.
There you go ;)
There you go ;)
Well, the 5 euro cards don't work to push back the expiration date, I know that because my number was cut off for that! And when you see that you are forced to buy a new SIM card... I preferred to buy a 15 euro prepaid SIM card!! It first comes with 5€ of credit, and you have to send in paperwork to activate the line, and then you'll receive 10€ of credit, and after that, they give you your new mobile number and that's it!! Have a good evening!
I make few calls but receive a lot. I still top up €20 to have 2 months of validity, and since I don’t call much, after 2 months I still have €10 to €15 left. To avoid losing this remaining credit, I top up €20 again, and after 2 months I have €30 to €35, then I top up €20 again and I have €45 to €50, and so on until I have more than €150. And since I don’t call much, there’s little chance I’ll use my €150 within 2 months, which I eventually end up losing if I’m not careful about the 2-month deadline to top up. This has already happened to me several times.
So I ended up topping up €5 and eventually got cut off and terminated without notice.
It’s shameful and dishonest on the part of Orange.
As I receive a lot of calls, it puts me in a very awkward situation because my callers don’t know why, and it causes me significant problems.
What’s more serious is that I drove off with 2 recharges of €20 and €25 in my pocket, and when I witnessed a serious accident, I couldn’t call for help because I didn’t know that I had just been cut off that very day despite having 2 recharges in my pocket.
It’s dishonest and very serious not to be notified by SMS.
It’s “authorized scamming.”
Also, I plan to close my Internet and my landline, and there’s no way I’m getting another phone, which is a money pit.
I’m going to save money. I belong to the older generation; I had managed without all this until now, and I was doing just fine. I’m modern, but I don’t want to be scammed by crooks.

You are entirely right, Orange are just thugs. I bought an Orange top-up for 20 euros with unlimited calls, and they've scammed me. It's been over a week that I've been trying to recharge, and they keep telling me TECHNICAL ISSUE, PLEASE TRY LATER. I've called customer service several times, and they told me they would send me a text to inform me that I could recharge within 48 hours, and it's been 72 hours and I still haven't received anything. I called again, and they told me it was their network and that they would send a letter, but I still haven't received anything from them.
For me, 20 euros is a lot; I've never topped up that much before. Can I get some answers?? If you have ever experienced the same thing as me, please respond! I'm very angry... I need this credit and the unlimited service. Please respond to me.
Thank you!!

At the same time, it's true that we didn't understand anything of what Molotoff wanted to say... So for those who don't know how to write, you can open another forum...
hfiunvidhisioqfpojfxhvjshfiuhcbdmpu gftcjbj rrzaev mkujye.... There you go, that way everyone can find their way... with the translation for Molotoff... a joke, of course.

it's clear that they are terrible at French; when you call customer service, you feel like you're calling the other side of the world, you end up with idiots who understand nothing;
they don't do what you ask them to do, they don't care at all;
we've been telling them for decades, they couldn't care less, they refuse to accept that their customer service is terrible;
DON'T GO TO ORANGE ANYMORE, THEY'RE WORSE THAN SFR

They do not reactivate the cards because they don't want to.
I have already worked with other operators in Europe and usually, after a delay of 6 months, a call is enough to reactivate the card within 24 hours.
So Orange and the others are just turning a deaf ear.
As for the credit, in Europe most operators have rates where a simple paid call revalidates the validity period + the credit for 6 months, 1 year, or even 2 years!
Also, still in Europe, if you top up €10 for 15 days and that period expires, most operators do not set the credit to zero; after the deadline, you cannot make calls but the credit remains, you just need to top up again and the previous credit is added to the new one.
There you go, in Europe it works one way, and in France, they had to do it differently, following the PAL, France had to go with SECAM, like in Digital Radio, Europe chooses a standard, France chooses another one.

We are cash cows!!!
I can't wait for Free to restart the competition. I have Free as my ISP and I won't hesitate to choose them as my mobile operator as well.

The solution is to boycott these greedy operators; we never think about it as if having a mobile phone is a matter of life and death. We are all mentally ill, with no free will left
all subjected like robots to the dictates of a stupid advertising that tries to make us believe that our happiness and success depend on Orange and the like! Let's wake up before we end up letting our lives and everything that truly matters slip away for the profit of these leeches.

Good evening. Here’s a well-said point "Revolted"! As for being revolted, I’m not even when I receive a text message reminding me to top up my phone to keep my number.
Used to topping up - since I call little - until now - about every six months,
with 5 euros, this is the second time in two consecutive months that 'ORANGE'
is asking me to recharge! We are on 01/08/2012 -
I have never been informed of this....'change'....
I therefore consider it to be a blatant dishonesty!
Money...Money....! ! They can go take a hike "with the feather duster"!!!
I’m not going to waste...........my precious energy on this. Lol...!!!

My friend forgot to recharge his prepaid phone, so he lost the number. What should we do to be able to reuse the phone?
It's a shame... Orange has also cut off my number. Now I've just seen on the pdf, it could be more clearly explained; it's really disgusting; losing your number and on top of that having to buy another SIM. Look, I have a Bouygues Telecom SIM at home that still works because I'm disgusted at the idea of going back to Orange, the problem is that my phone (Samsung E250) doesn't recognize it and says to insert a card or "service blocked"... Indeed, the phone shows Orange while loading; so is there a way to reset the phone so that it supports all cards? Knowing that the Bouygues chip has a slightly different circuit board on the back, the little lines are different from those of Orange...
Thank you!
Thank you!
The problem is worse. I tried to recharge online with my VISA card from abroad where I work for most of the year. But the confirmation code, which Orange is supposed to send by SMS, does not reach me abroad because it is impossible to input the mobile number with the country prefix. The prepaid system only works in France! - I am willing to pay the 10 Euros to keep my number, but I can't. It's really too foolish!! I will be forced to subscribe to an operator that has already noticed that our work world is globalized.
It's useless to recharge 5 euros to postpone the expiration date. You need to recharge a minimum of 10 euros to do that. It's stated. So don't make a scene at Orange.
I had the same problem. It's just a scam by Orange. No one told us about the obligation to top up with 10 euros, and it's not mentioned anywhere on the identification slips and terms. I've read the comments and it's always the same issue, and I think we should take action against them (consumer services,...). If there are many complaints, it's because there's an abuse on their part and a problem with informing customers.
No more number (mobicarte)?
Me neither!
To keep your number for 6 months, you normally have to top up your phone with a mobicarte.
For customers who are not profitable (like me), I top up with €5 mobicartes to receive calls. Without explicitly notifying, Orange, with the €5 mobicarte, the validity duration of the number is only one month instead of 6! Orange changes the "rules of the game" mid-course. The SIM card being blocked, it needs to be changed (thus repurchased). The other operators are hardly more reliable. Who to turn to? Personally, I'm going to visit the Orange store where I bought my phone and request the restoration of my number (it's a legal obligation). The operators do not respect the standards, are breaking the law, establish friendly agreements, and we customers (indispensable in the new information and communication technologies) must endure this hegemony. Perhaps repeated messages to the INC or the DGCCRF in bulk might hope to lead to better freedom of communication.

Hello,
following a (big) mistake, I lost the Orange Mobicarte email address to which you must send a photocopy of your ID to activate the SIM card
my question is therefore: does anyone have the email address??? I know it's something blois-"something"@orange-ftgroup.com and I know you’re going to reply “just call customer service!” but this is really URGENT and I wanted to send it tonight and at this time it's impossible to reach them or “just search online or go to the Orange website” but I can’t find the email in question!
please, I thank you in advance

Indeed, it's a shame: I didn't receive any text messages. Moreover, the contract is available online; it's not clear and isn't given in hard copy on paper. So, in case the user doesn't have internet...
Then, on the recharge ticket for Mobicarte, for example purchased for 10 euros in June 08, it states it expires in June 2010. This is ambiguous: the number or the validation ticket.
It's really a reason to sue these thugs!
But well, between lawyer fees and the little guy against the big guy. In any case, I'm going to pay dear to Virgin Mobile; but what I find especially shameful is losing my number, is there really no way on this Earth to get it back?

Good evening,
Orange canceled my prepaid number, when I called them, they told me there was nothing they could do. I suggested taking a subscription to recover my number, but no, they don’t want to.
Now it's over with Orange, I’m waiting for my husband's contract to end and he will switch operators.

I've had an ORANGE mobicarte for 20 years. I recharged it with 5 euros, and now they've cut off my number. This time, I'm going to another operator, faster and cheaper.
Yes, French operators are terrible with prepaid.
In England, it’s enough to receive or make a call to validate all the credit for +365 days.
In Belgium, there are plans that last a year... if you exceed the date, no problem, the credit comes back with the next top-up.
The same goes for Portugal where even better, at Optimus (Orange group), they give you the credit back with the next top-up but also if you let it slide, you have 4 months to recharge; of course, the line remains blocked but the credit stays and the number doesn’t die.
At Vodafone Portugal, a customer can reactivate an expired card up to 6 months and get back the credit that was on it.
So, when a French operator says it’s impossible, it’s just bad faith to force people into plans.
If Free comes along and offers prepaid like in other European countries, we’ll all win!

Because I lost mine a day ago and I would like to recover it too!
Please, you might be the only person who can tell me how you managed to recover it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
have you found a solution to recover your number??
I'm in the same situation and it's also very urgent
thank you
