I can't seem to erase a CD-RW with Nero

Hello,
I’m trying in vain to erase a CD-RW with Nero _8 but I’m not getting anywhere. Can someone help me..

    Hi cloclo14,
    You can do it very simply by opening Nero Smart Start.

    Go to the icon (the cross) in the top right "Extras" and click further down on "Erase the DVD". In the window that follows, simply choose "Full disk erasure (not quick)" and you confirm... and your disk will be erased.

      Thank you also for the information you provided, but I couldn’t apply it because I don’t have the same pages as you that open when I click nero startmart. I did manage to do it anyway by proceeding as follows:

      - I opened nero startmart, then clicked on add or remove, checked the box nero burning room. The checked item appears on the right. Click it. A new compilation page opens. Close it. Click on burner, then on "erase the rewritable disc." And it works.

      I’ve been a bit chatty, but this information could be useful to others who aren’t very proficient with Nero.

        Cloclo I looked for a nice moment and I finally found one.
        Open Nero StartSmart, click on the Nero icon at the bottom left, go to Tools, then erase the disk.

      After several attempts, I found the solution:
      - Open Nero Smart
      - Then click on Extras (the icon is the last one, at the top left with a green plus)
      - Simply hover over "Erase CD/DVD" according to your preference
      - On the right a dialog box will appear, in which you will need to select Nero Burning ROM
      - After selecting Burning ROM, click the green arrow
      - And voilà, a dialog box will open to format your CD/DVD!

    hi

    so you will press the Nero logo at the bottom left or on the startup page you find at the bottom right Add/Delete you click and you choose Nero Express in the interface that appears you will choose Erase the disc you will find it in a tab on your left if it doesn’t appear, scroll down and click it then you select the erasure method and the speed and you click Erase

    warning this is for CD-RWs

    PS: just a reminder that I got my version 9 for free without paying anything, amateur notice xDD

    Happy that you managed to erase. Nero always makes things much more complicated from one version to another.
    The key is to find the simplest thing. I do everything with SmartStart (or StartSmart); it’s the least complicated program.

      Hello everyone
      I have NERO 9 and the same problem, how to erase a CDRW is very simple but you had to know: open your NERO STARTSMART page then right-click the NERO logo at the bottom left, follow the toolbox, then erase the disc. If that can help you I’d be delighted.

    I opened my NERO STARTSMART page and then right-clicked on the NERO logo at the bottom left, then in the toolbox. But when I want to click on "erase the disk," it won’t let me click.. Could you please help me. Thank you in advance.

    Hello everyone!! I had the same problem. I have Nero StartSmart and when clicking on Extra then Erase CD nothing, but by going through Nero Express, it works; you just need to follow the instructions. good luck
