Hello,
I can't find the solution following the information provided on the HP PHOTOSMART SERIES C6100 printer
0xc19a0024 ink system failure.
I thought about the cartridges and have changed them all.
What should I do????
And I can't find how to perform a scan
Thank you

Hello Nat, I had the same problem as you and I contacted HP: they asked me if I had changed the cartridges? If the problem started after changing cartridges, change them again!
If that's not it, proceed as follows:
- Remove the cartridges
- Unplug the printer’s power cable without turning off the printer.
- Press the power button for ten seconds.
- Release the button, and plug the cable back in
If that doesn't solve your problem, try the following:
Warning this operation will clear the machine's memory (pending jobs, etc...)
- Unplug the printer’s power cable.
- Press and hold the “#” and “9” keys on your machine simultaneously.
- Now plug the power cable back in while still holding down the keys from the previous step.
- The screen will display “Stopping in progress”, then “full reset” will appear. You can then release the keys
- You can turn your machine back on, it will ask you to specify the language and country. (If it doesn't, repeat the operation from the beginning).
If (like me!) it doesn’t display “Stopping in progress” or “full reset” but just turns off without doing anything else, you need to change the machine, I hope yours is still under warranty...!
There you go, I hope I could help you!

Read, it's absolutely great! I knew I could find everything on the internet... but not necessarily for me. Anyway, THANK YOU!
Your reset trick also works for a HP Photosmart C7280 printer. It just restarted.
Thanks again!

To resolve the issue of ink system failure on your HP printer, you can try the following steps:
1. **Restart the printer**: Turn off your printer, disconnect the power cord, wait for a minute, and then reconnect and turn it back on.
2. **Check the ink cartridges**: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty or damaged. Remove and reinstall them if necessary.
3. **Update drivers**: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP website to download and install any available updates.
4. **Run HP Print and Scan Doctor**: This is a free tool provided by HP that can diagnose and fix print quality issues.
5. **Reset the printer**: Perform a factory reset on your printer to restore default settings. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to contact HP customer support for further assistance.
Awesome!!! Thanks, it's working!
Hold # and 9 simultaneously while reconnecting the printer, and it's all good!!!

For the HP series 6100, but it should certainly also work for other HP printers or brands that have the "Configure" function.
The easiest way is to use "Configure," then "tools," and "Restore factory settings."
On my HP Photosmart C6180, this process unblocked my printer.
Any personal settings you may have will be lost.

Thank you for your troubleshooting, it has unlocked my printer and removed that infamous error message which you indicated is the same one I had on my printer.
But unfortunately, it works perfectly alone.
Let me explain.
It prints and scans, but I can't get it to work connected to the PC.
I have the following message on the printer screen: "TO PRINT WITHOUT COMPUTER and INSERT A MEMORY CARD," hence the impossible connection with the PC.
I thought that reinstalling all the HP software would solve the issue, so indeed, when the HP software is reinstalled, the connection works perfectly, but I can't print immediately as I find myself facing that infamous error message again (INK SYSTEM FAILURE), then the error message.
I also use original cartridges that I refill with ink myself; could that have an influence?
Wouldn't I need to reprogram the chips on the cartridges (is there a reprogrammer, or do I need to buy reset cartridges to solve all my problems?
In either case, do you know a website, or can you help me, as I am a newbie in computing!!!
Thank you very much in advance dear internet user, I think you can be of great help to me.
Best regards.
this is the 2nd machine that does this to me, the first one was thrown away by the Boulanger customer service "repair impossible"
kind regards
CB
I have the same problem as you. Could you tell me if your printer issue has been resolved and how I can make my life easier so I can print like before the message "insert a memory card to print without a computer."
Best regards.
Thanks again!
