You have a Samsung USB Floppy Disk Drive (SFD 321 U-USB), and its installation under Windows is impossible because Windows Update and the manufacturer Iomega no longer provide driver support for this hardware... Don’t throw it away!!... Here’s a very simple way for nostalgia fans of magnetic support to get it working under Microsoft’s new OS (Windows 8 and Windows 7), whether in 32 or 64 bits.
Here are a few simple steps to get your USB floppy disk drive working.
1) When you plug the drive into a USB port, you will get the message “ The device driver could not be installed”. Just click on “Finish”.
2) Click on Start / Control Panel / System / Device Manager
3) When the Device Manager opens, you will see your SFD 321 U-USB drive with a yellow triangle next to it. Select it and right-click then choose “Update”
4) Now select “Search for a driver on my computer” then “Choose from a list of device drivers on my computer” and then click on “Show all hardware” and finally click on Next
5) In the next window, on the left side, select the manufacturer Nec Systems and then on the right side of the window select USB Floppy Disk Drive, now click on Next. A warning message from Windows will ask you to be careful with the driver choice, bypass it by clicking YES
and... oh magic!!! you can already hear the sweet sound of the read head of your floppy disk drive. The drive is indeed in the file explorer with the letter A:/ (Floppy disk drive)
Enjoy it everyone.

Thank you, everything is going as you said, but after the soft sound of the reader, the system asks me to format the diskette that is inside (any of them), and that's where it gets stuck because Win7 is unable to read the diskette and is unable to format it either. If you have a solution... thanks a lot.

Thank you very much!!!!
