Hello,
I'm having a problem with my HP printer, it displays an error message on its screen: "Ink system failure, the ink system is defective and can no longer print. ERROR 0xc18a050a".
I can't find an answer on the HP website and their phone support is only available for hardware under warranty...

      Hello. I have the same issue with my printer. (It has been unused for over 6 months...)
      I just changed the cartridges and the problem is still there!!! Do you have a solution? Thank you for your response.

        Hello,
        I haven't solved the problem. I tried HP customer service online and by phone (more than 15 minutes with 3 people I could barely hear and had to wait) without success. On the phone, the conclusion was "it's the ink system, we can't fix it, you need to buy a new printer."
        They told me how to reset the printer: with the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer, wait, press the on button and while keeping it pressed, plug the cord back in. You can try it, but for me it didn't work.
        I haven't found anything on the internet...
