Hello,
I would like to know how to use the SD card. Do I need to have special files because I keep trying with my card and it says impossible to use the object inserted in the SD card port.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

You need to have the Wii update, and if it still doesn't work, it happens that "old SD cards do not work on the Wii. I, myself, had to buy a new one, and now it works very well!

Vanessa, please don't bring up old topics. To answer your question, no, the SD card does not allow you to contain Wii games or transfer them. The SD card (if you're talking about hacking the Wii) is used to store files that modify the original files of the Wii. So, if you want to transfer Wii games, it won't be done via SD card (are you looking to hack a Wii or what?).

      Hello
I would like to know which application is needed for the SD card and which application is needed for the hard drive. But my Wii is on version 4.3e.
Thank you for replying as soon as possible.

Hello, I'm going to answer these questions:
FALSE !!! I have a 1GB micro SD card with an adapter that works very well on the Wii, but my conversion software (Wii Video 9) is malfunctioning and won't convert my videos to JMPEG :/. When I open the photo album on the Wii menu, my video shows up but it says that my Wii does not recognize the format (which is normal since my software is malfunctioning). I then bought an 8GB SD card (without an adapter) and my Wii does not recognize the card at all

your Wii can read up to 2GB

    then
    hello,

what should be the name of the folder that contains the Wii saves on the SD card for it to work, please

    private-wii-title-HAJP

or to make it simpler, you go to your Wii, copy a save to your SD, put it in your PC, and follow the folder

    there you go @+++

Hello, it's Alexis. If the Wii doesn't work, it might be because a cable is missing, or otherwise, if you're trying a recent game on an old Wii, the game won't work because the Wii won't detect the game disc on the Wii. Bye for now. ;)

Hello, I just bought a Wii a few days ago. I removed the cover and there's no GameCube controller port on the side, just the holes but no connection port. Can you please help me?

I have a 2 GB SD card and it's not working; it says it's impossible to use the object inserted in the SD port.

I also have a micro SD with an adapter, and on my portable device, the DS works very poorly.
It seems that this is due to my adapter and not the port of your Wii :)

    There you go!

Well, listen to me, I tried with a card. Well, it’s a micro SD but with its adapter it really worked, and I tried other SDs to see if they’d work. I have to go into the photo channel; I’m looking for photos on the card, and I have to take it out and put it back in, and sometimes it works. So there you go.
I think it must be the Wii’s reader that’s dead.

Well, the Wii's disc drive is, in my opinion, broken. If you want my opinion, it's your micro SD adapter that doesn't work very well. At one point, I had the same problem even with the update... It's better to get a classic 2GB SD card. It works and doesn't need any specific files inside.
There you go, I hope I helped you. If this suits you, you'll need to put [resolved] in your title.

But if you have 4GB on your SD card, it's impossible to put games.

Not specifically, I personally bought it at Conforama for about €15 for 1GB! But it doesn’t matter the brand as long as it’s an SD!

    Hello,
I have a Wii with firmware 3.3E and a 4GB micro SD with its adapter.
When I go into photos for example (even though I don't have any photos yet as I don't know the Wii's folder structure), I get the message "unable to use this card".
    I have 3 questions:
    - Why does the Wii give me this message when micro SDs generally seem to be accepted?
    - What should I do to be able to use my micro SD on my Wii?
    - What is the folder structure of the Wii?

    Thank you in advance.

The Wii cannot read SD cards larger than 2GB; the maximum is 2GB.

        Even the 2 GB apparently...

My 2 GB SD card, which is not SDHC, is not recognized and it's a SanDisk.
There’s no way my Wii is dead; I bought it new and hardly use it.
My update is 4.2E and nothing...
It doesn't recognize my micro SD card either via adapter...

My 2GB SD card is not recognized either, even though it's an SD card for Wii.

Hello, my Wii does not recognize my 2GB SD card, which I formatted (in FAT) and put the requested folders on as the internet suggested, several times. My friend has a Wii and he wants to hack mine like he did with his, and it works perfectly for him. Thank you for getting back to me as soon as possible.

Hello racaille4, well for me it was actually my card reader that was broken, so I sold it and bought a new one. I may have lost 60 euros, but now I have all the games I want. But for your card problem, what does your console indicate exactly?

I think that all our problems come from the size of the cards and their formatting: microSD with adapter or SD, it doesn't matter, it's the same. However, a 2GB SD card or less will probably read better on the Wii if it is formatted in FAT16, and an SD card larger than 2GB will likely read better if it is formatted in FAT32!

You need a memory card in the slot on the side for it to work.
