fullscreen not possible on streaming videos Solved

Question

Hello,
I had a problem with my PC, so I changed to a new one (Vista, 22-inch screen, 2 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2350 graphics card, 2.11 GHz)
When I go to sites like Dailymotion, YouTube (after installing Adobe Flash Player), I can watch videos except in full screen. When I click the button to switch to full screen, it shows:

P.S.: Is a graphics card and a video card the same thing?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem as you. I have in common with your setup the OS and my video card is from the same series (3850 HD). For now, I don't know more than you, but I'll keep you posted if I find any information on this.

it might be the graphics card that's causing this, especially since the official ati website doesn't offer drivers for 3850 HD...

and I tested it in 16 bits to see, and indeed the full screen streaming is working again; after that, who knows why....

For owners of ATI HD58xx series (personally using ATI HD5830 with the latest Catalyst 10.8 drivers + ATI Catalyst Control Center, Windows 7, and multiple drives in RAID0, memtests OK), I have a solution that worked for me:

The bug was that when I played a video in streaming, fullscreen or not, after a while (a few seconds or minutes) it crashed: blue screen, memory dump didn't even finish (auto-reboot option disabled) the PC rebooted before the end of the dump + and reboot impossible, system stuck on "loading operating system ..." (thus formatting every time)

I did several tests, it's the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) that does "a bit too much": you need to go into the video options of the CCC, and enable the option "apply current video settings to internet videos". Since then, no reboots during streaming videos, I really "stressed it" on several video sites, changing videos in the middle of a playback, skipping through the video multiple times, etc.
