Hello,
When opening Outlook 2007, I get:
"Can't open your default email folders. Errors were detected in the file C\Documents and Settings\papa\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst.
Exit Outlook and all messaging applications, then use the Inbox Repair tool (scanpst.exe) to diagnose and fix the errors in the file. For more information on the Inbox Repair Tool, please consult the help.... ( OK )"
OK = everything closes.
The Repair Tool is missing,
just like scanpst.exe.
It seems there are no *.pst files anymore.
I repaired Office with the CD, but with no results.
Any suggestions are welcome, and thank you in advance.Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.11

Hello,
the SCANPST.EXE file allows you to repair OUTLOOK.
You will find it under C:\program\microsoft office\office12.
I had the same error message, and after running this software, the error was fixed.

Good evening,
Thanks to all your messages, I was able to run this utility after a major crash. Everything went well (even though I did it on .ost and not .pst) and I was able to perform the repair.
But now, when I restart Outlook, the following message appears:
The file C:/Documents......./outlook.ost is not a Personal Folders file.
And then, what a fine mess. What to do?
Thanks.
