Excel - Page numbering multiple sheets Solved

Question

Hello,

I would like to print an Excel file containing about 15 sheets.
I would like to number the pages.

So I inserted "Page &[Page]" on each sheet in the page layout.

However, on each new sheet, the numbering starts again at "Page 1".
Now, I would like the first page of the second sheet to be a continuation of the last page of the first sheet (complicated! lol)

Is it possible to have continuous page numbering across the sheets?

Otherwise, I found something pretty good (shows that searching pays off)

You select all your sheets, go to page layout, type Page &[Page], and you print... it works...

That's the only method I've found.

The only solution... found for the moment.

&[Page]+ ... and there, you need to paste the page number from your previous sheet. Ideally, it would be great to find the reference to put in this spot so that the number of pages from the previous sheet is taken automatically.

I'm going to keep studying a bit... but if anyone finds it, I'm interested.

I had the same problem and even with page &[Page] it didn't work. I finally found the solution: in file/page setup, there's a box "start numbering at". You need to set it to Auto, and then it works!

Yes, it works in the header or footer, but if I want to display the page in one cell and the total number of pages in the workbook in another cell, how do I do that?  Thank you for your help!

1- Go to File/Print/Print Preview/Page Setup
2 - In the header or footer, you need to put "pages" on each sheet
3 - Then select all sheets (at the bottom, right-click, then select all sheets)
2- Go once again to File/Print/Print Preview/Page Setup
3 - In the page tab, set to auto start or another option according to your preference
and then, still in this selection of all sheets, click on print.
It works, I’ve tested it.

Go to Print and then Page Setup, select Header/Footer and then Footer and choose the number.
