Hello,
I was given this camera. With the SD card, when I turn it on it says FULL; I installed the CD on the PC, but I cannot access the card to format it for example. I get the message "Unable to satisfy the request due to an I/O device error."
Also, when I double click on the "PC camera" icon that I installed on the desktop, I get the message "CANNOT CONNECT TO DEVICE."
Is there a procedure to follow "in order" that I might not have respected? Thank you for your help!!Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,

I have the same issue as you, it says full on the camera screen and I can't take a photo or make a video!!!
I tried to format it from the camera, from the PC, nothing works. This thing is really a gadget. Too bad. If you find the solution, I’m interested.

I’m also interested, I got this DVD through Bruneau with the Integral 1GB SD card that they were offering as a promotion.

And I have exactly the same problem, maybe the SD card is not compatible after all, I don’t have another card to test.

I will try to call Bruneau on Monday, maybe they will know.

Same problem, I was able to film and now the full light is on, I couldn't install the CD either. What should I do to empty the card? I don't know.

To make an SD card work on the DV136 camera and no longer have the "full" display, here is the solution I found that works without any issues: You need to go through a complete "formatting" using a digital camera (I formatted it with my Pentax). To erase the card again when it is full, go through the formatting of your digital camera... if you have one! If not, check with a friend who has one.

I will contact the company that sent it to me. I'll keep you updated.

I managed to get a Kingston SD card to work... No more "full" message!!!
The solution is to never format the card with the computer. Format it with another digital camera (I have a Pentax) and you're good to go! By the way, it seems to me that the documentation for the dv136 specifies that formatting should not be done with a computer.

Dear friends,
I had the same problem (FULL display) with my camera given by Bruneau and the proposed 1GB Integral SD card.
Formatting the card on the computer eliminated the <full> message on the camera, but it still didn't work.
A new card of the same type worked right away.
The card that doesn't work on the DV136 device can still be used in other digital devices.
What do you think?</full>

Thank you Patrick for the "full" solution

As for me, I can't open the program

I have the message "can not connect to device"
I think it's a driver issue.
Thank you for replying
and happy holidays Patrick

What file system did you format the card with?

Thank you.

I formatted under Windows XP.

I just received it and I would like to get it working for when I go skiing in February, since I got it for free. But I have the message NO CARD. However, I put a 128 MB SD card in it that works in my parents' digital camera.
Please, those with whom the device works, could you let me know what brand of SD card you have? Thank you.

Hey hey

I inserted a 2GB SD card, it works perfectly, it's actually quite nice for a gift.

What brand of card? What speed? Normal SD or SDHC?
Has anyone tried it with 4 GB?

Thank you for taking the time to address this common problem for many.

My 1 GB SD card is a regular type.
I formatted it on the computer... which wasn't supposed to be done, as noted in the manual.

I made sure to format it on a digital device...

What I would like to see resolved is the software opening.
I get the message CAN NOT CONNECT TO DEVICE.
Do you know the steps to follow...

Thank you very much.

I just received the device, I don't even have a card yet (hence my question), I haven't installed the software yet.
As soon as I have my card, I'll get to it and share my findings.
In the meantime, feel free to keep looking.
Good luck and see you soon.

This camcorder, probably from China, is just a piece of junk, only good for the dump.

Dora, tu as probablement raison à propos de la caméra. Peut-être pas assez bonne pour le recyclage ! ?
André.

So I'm bringing this topic back up because I would really like to have a scan of the manual.
Thanks ;)
