How to set uTorrent to French Solved

Question

Hello,
I know the subject has already been addressed, but I have a problem. I downloaded uTorrent in French from 01 and other sites, uninstalling the old version each time during the installation. It always appears in English. When I download the language pack from the uTorrent site or others and place it either on the desktop with uTorrent.exe or in Program Files --> uTorrent, and then open uTorrent, it changes nothing. I wonder if something was missed during the installation since I formatted my XP Pro two days ago (and I really don't want to do it again and reinstall everything).
I would gladly accept some help because two days of trials is a long time.

Salut, j'ai téléchargé uTorrent 1.7.7, et je n'arrive pas à le mettre en français. Quand je vais dans les préférences, dans la langue, il n'y a que l'anglais. Le téléchargement va au maximum à 40 Ko, ça rame. Savez-vous comment faire pour que ça aille plus vite ? Merci.

Valou95 has said it all... I'll repeat everything:
1° You download uTorrent ( https://www.utorrent.com/ ).
2° You install uTorrent. [ It should automatically create a folder ( C:\Program Files\uTorrent ) ].
3° You download the French Patch ( http://www.utorrent.com/scripts/dl.php?build=8179 ).
4° You place utorrent.lng ( the French patch you just downloaded ) in the directory C:\Program Files\uTorrent.
5° Finally, you launch uTorrent and normally, if you have followed these steps correctly, it will be in French :) .

For Vista, there is currently no French patch available. I'm sorry...

To set the French version, go to OPTIONS/PREFERENCES/GENERAL, where it says Language; next to it, there are three little dots, click on that, and it will take you to the UTORRENT website.
There is an entry titled Language Pack, click on download.
Copy the file utorrent.lng and then right-click on the UTORRENT icon (usually located on the desktop or you can find it in the Start menu).
Right-click on the UTORRENT icon, PROPERTIES: find the target and paste the utorrent.lng file.
Now your UTORRENT should be in French.

I've followed all the advice to set uTorrent to French. When I paste the language pack into the target, it tells me that I have already installed it, even though uTorrent is not in French.
Can you help me?

I noticed that reading is not a luxury. The fact of uninstalling and reinstalling can cause damage to your system. Use CCleaner, which will remove duplicates, and for reinstalling, use safe mode.

Nothing easier:
- Put the downloaded .lng file next to the uTorrent logo as TENSHIN explained very well "To put the French version, go to OPTIONS/PREFERENCES/GENERAL/ there it says language, next to it there are three little dots, click on it, it takes you to the uTorrent site.

- Then just open uTorrent
- Go to help and there it says "download translation" something like that
- Click on it! And there you go, your uTorrent is in French!
