iPod connection with HOB car radio Solved

Question

Hello everyone and happy new year 2008 with all my best wishes,

I've connected my iPod via the USB port to my hob car radio which apparently is iPod compatible

However, the problem is that when I connect it, the radio displays USB drive and my iPod keeps connecting and disconnecting

To my great regret, I can't listen to the music on my iPod

If anyone has a solution, I thank you in advance

My iPod doesn't work, but my Creative MP3 does.

I finally found a solution. You need to connect your iPod using an auxiliary cable with a jack plug on one end and an audio output on the other
And there it works!!!! Finally, that's how I use my iPod with this system

I have exactly the same problem with the H&B CA-7456i model

I too had to face the truth that it was indeed false advertising because I tested iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and the iPhone
none of the three work.

The only solution is to connect via jack "with some modifications to the plug" to make it compatible with iPhone and iTouch.

If I had to give a rating for this brand, I would say 1/20 to avoid giving it a 0.

Otherwise, has anyone managed to connect their iPod via USB?

Hello everyone,

No, unfortunately it is impossible to connect all iPods via USB, and moreover if, like me, you download a lot through iTunes, the files are protected and come in m4p format. This car radio only receives mp3, so there is no compatibility, unless you mess with the auxiliary output.
There you go. We won't be fooled again, that's all!!!

As for me, I can't remember where I bought this cable, but I think you can find it almost everywhere at Fnac or even in big supermarkets with the car audio equipment by asking a salesperson. I'm sure they can help you out.

Same problem for me with the CA-2000i: impossible to connect my iPod via USB... there's not much interest left for this product since it doesn’t have a CD player!
I use an aux cable, but the battery of my iPod barely lasts an hour!

It's incredible that products from this brand are still for sale.
