Hello,
Little news on the site, I need your help....
I bought a digital camera from Luxya, model PCS-500, and I can't get it installed.... I'm using Vista, the automatic installation starts but apparently there's a problem with the driver Sunplus SPCA533 and Icatch (IV) Still Camera Device! I've already tried to check on the manufacturer’s site SUNPLUS but of course, it’s a Japanese site.... So it's a huge hassle!
So I would like to know if anyone has encountered a problem with this device and if there is a solution.....
Thank you!!!
Julie

Do not plug in the camera's USB
Right-click on the Windows circle in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Choose 'Explorer'
'This PC'
On the right screen, the list of volumes appears:
C=Hard drive, D=DVD drive, etc., note these letters
Plug in the USB cable of the camera
Turn on the camera
Switch to playback mode on the camera if nothing happens.
Watch the right screen on the PC, a new volume should appear
It will be called E: or F: or G: it doesn't matter, it's your camera
Double click on the letter that just created, a directory should appear
Double click on the directory, the list of photos should display
To transfer them to the PC, drag them for example into 'My Documents' 'My Pictures'
You can name your device to find it more easily when you plug it in, right-click on the letter of the created volume, choose 'Rename'. I believe you are allowed 11 characters, without spaces and without special characters.

Hi there, I bought this digital device in the store for 40 euros and I wanted to tell you that to put the photos on the computer, you first need to install the installation CD that is in the box.
Take care!

Hello everyone,
I received the LUXYA PCS-5001 digital camera for Christmas, it was working fine until I put in a memory card, it turns on but it glitches, meaning it can't take photos, the screen is black...
However, when there is no memory card, I have no problem, but without a memory card, I can only take 17 photos...
Could someone please help me???
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, my cousin found a Luxya PCS-5001 camera and gave it to me since she couldn't get it fixed. I changed the batteries and realized it worked perfectly. I returned her camera, and the next day she brought it back to me saying she "changed the batteries just to see, and now it turns on and turns off six seconds later." Now, no matter how many new batteries I put in, it won't turn on anymore. I don't have the cable to charge it. Could you please help me? If so, please reply to me as soon as possible, I beg you!
Hello, I'm back on another topic, but apparently it has a direct link to my problem, as I have the same issue as you apparently. When I connect my camera to my PC <acer extensa="">, I get a message telling me to install the Sunplus 5PCA533, but every time I try, it says that the Icatch(IV) is not... I can't remember the rest, but in any case, I understand that it means there’s a problem installing this software, which should normally come with my PC. I don't understand why it won't install correctly! Thank you to anyone who responds to my message because I’m starting to get frustrated not understanding what it means, especially since it's not the only problem I have with my PC, which is only three and a half months old. I'm wondering if the seller might have used it since it was an expo model, but supposedly it had never been powered on (I doubt it!) because the seller told me, "It has never been turned on, look, the battery is still in the box," and since I had never touched a PC before, it gave me confidence. When I found out that you could use it without the battery, I started to doubt the seller's word, especially since I've been a customer of his for over six years, and he wanted to charge me €330 for a washing machine I bought from him!! (I refused, of course) and I bought another one elsewhere. Talk soon, and thank you in advance.</acer>
Hi everyone!!!
I recently got the Luxya PCS-8012 digital camera!
Supposedly a 12 megapixels: it takes crappy pictures!!!
Moreover, I can't install it on my PC (Windows Vista) since unfortunately I didn't get the installation CD in the box!!!!
If someone could at least tell me how to install it, that would be really nice!!!!
You'd think all Luxya products have issues, isn’t that cool????!!!
Kisses!
Thank you for letting me know if there is a solution.

okok thanks but sorry I'm useless with computers!! what is this volume in which file folder of which explorer??? where to find all this in vista? it's all still gibberish to me!!!! thanks for clarifying this for me!!!!
Hello
Have you tried not installing anything at all?
Most of the time, Vista like XP doesn't need any installation to see a camera connected via USB.
They display a new volume in the folders section of the explorer with a new letter following the existing ones, C:, D:, E:, F:.....
This volume usually contains a directory that holds your photos.
You can open them through the explorer.
