For some time now, I can no longer connect to aol9vr. As soon as I click on the icon, I receive the following message: the remote server is not responding. I can access it through Internet Explorer, but I've lost my favorites... well, the entire AOL page that I liked...
If you can help me, because Nine AOL can't do anything.
Thank you.

to find the AOL chatrooms with Neuf, you need to have selected the AOL option.
If you have selected the AOL option, once on the AOL homepage, you need to click on the keyword at the top of the window, then go to the keyword and type chat, then OK, and there you will be.

The old AOL chat rooms still exist.
To enter them, you need to download the AOL software (you can only access them through this proprietary interface), configure it in TCP IP mode, and then use the software as usual (AOL username and password).

It works as long as you always have a valid AOL account (or rather a new AOL option).
Therefore, you need to subscribe to an AOL account or create a nickname with a friend who has an AOL account. You can then connect to the software in TCP/IP mode, regardless of the Internet service provider (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection), as long as you do not connect two computers with the same nickname (number of nicknames: 7 per account).
As for finding the software: you can find it by clicking here: http://ftp.cs.com/software/aol.fr/aol9.0VR/AOLDNLD.exe

I would like the links for the AOL chat rooms if possible... could you post them on the forum so that those who can't find them will be able to find them, and I, who am in Canada... will have access to them... thank you in advance.
I only took the DSL, I’m not interested in the phone and the TV. But I miss the chat rooms of AOL
they were nice. All I wish is for AOL to come back to the internet service provider market.
If someone wants to return to an AOL chat room, for subscribers of Neuf, they should request the AOL option to create a username and password for them. Download and install AOL 9.0 and configure it in TCP/IP mode.
For another subscriber who wishes to return to AOL, they need to subscribe to Neuf AOL and do as mentioned above.
As of today, I don't think there is a direct link to access an AOL chat room since a username and password are required.
