LCD screen crackling noise issue

Hello,

I just bought a Samsung LCD screen 2232bw 22 inch, and I would like to know if it's normal for there to be cracking noises from time to time, even for an hour after turning it off.

I have an LCD, 10 years of aging, it also cracks and works perfectly, it's just the plastic, there's nothing to worry about :)

Hi,
I just bought a Samsung LE46F86BD screen (not for the PC, I assure you :-D); I also have this cracking problem when I'm watching TV or when I change the source and the screen goes completely black. I went to talk to a salesperson, and he confirmed that this happens on Samsung models due to plastic overheating. I don't want to see the screen go off for 5 weeks for repairs when I bought it just 10 days ago!!

Hello hello, it's already not good to post on a topic that isn't yours, but anyway, let's move on.
I have a brand new Samsung screen, 40", it crackles when we change the channel (when we skip 3 channels it makes a little crack) and also upon turning it off and that's normal! Any screen heats up! It won't get damaged, don't worry!

For me, I have a 22-inch Asus, and recently (2 weeks ago) the case started cracking at regular intervals (like every 4/5 minutes)... When I first got it, it wasn’t making any noise, and then suddenly after a month it starts cracking, weird.
But it seems normal to you, but it’s still a bit annoying. Whereas my old 15-inch LG has never given me any trouble, but anyway, products are getting more fragile; just look at gaming consoles, before with your N64 you could throw it out the window, it would come back fine, you can’t do the same with a Wii. Ah man.

Hello everyone
I bought a Philips LED television model 32PLF5405H/12 at Auchan. It emits cracking noises while functioning and even after shutting down for several hours. Since this TV is in my bedroom, I am woken up, or I can’t fall asleep because of this noise.
This device is under warranty, and I have also taken an extended 5-year warranty.
The customer service at Auchan advised me to contact PHILIPS directly, which I did; I won’t go into the exhausting process lasting over an hour only to be told that everything is normal, it's just the plastic expanding and then returning to its place!!! There you go! Thank you PHILIPS, we pay more but you do less!! When I contacted Auchan's customer service again, they declared themselves incompetent and won't lift a finger! I am considering reaching out to a consumer association; I have two other appliances from different brands at home, and I don't have this issue. How can such disturbing noises be considered normal?
