Hello, I tried to uninstall Acrobat Reader via Add/Remove Programs but it was impossible because a .dll was missing, so I deleted the Adobe folder in Program Files and did a registry cleanup. The problem is that I still see Adobe Reader in Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and I cannot remove it; it says: Unable to open this patch package. Verify that the patch package exists... And when I try to install Adobe Reader 7, it tells me there is a newer version on my computer, and it stops the installation. How can I get rid of the Adobe folder in the Control Panel? I have the solution! Found on another forum. I tested it and it works: I was able to remove that damn Reader 7 (which didn’t appear anywhere, not even in the Registry) and installed version 8. Thanks to Totof from the 01.net forum!! Hello, In case a user still has an issue with uninstallation. In fact, there's no need to use uninstallation software from brand X or Y, just uninstall the previous version BEFORE installing the next one. If you haven't done this and are having trouble, it's nothing serious. Uninstall ALL versions one by one, restarting each time, and then reinstall the latest version (or the one you want to use).
