Experts are in English and not the rest.

Question

Hello,
For quite some time, I've been receiving some "experts," the American TV movies in English. During the day when the trailer is on, it's in French, but tonight for example it's in English. It's the same for 2 or 3 other series. I took it to the store, and the guy did a reset but couldn't find the issue. I enjoy these series and am disappointed not to have them in French. I have the Miami vice series in French. I don't understand. I myself did a factory reset but it didn't help. Thank you a thousand times to those who will take the time to respond (even if you are not a fan of the experts!!!!!). Best regards, neneille29

For my part, I had to change the audio channel: audio button + change audio channel from 1 (English) to 2 (in French).

I just had the same problem while watching the experts (Miami) on TNT, it turned out to be just a poorly set up TNT issue in the TV's TNT menu or the receiver's menu, everything was set to English while I was receiving everything else in French. I just had to change the main language to French, I hope this helps you (if you haven't already solved the problem)...

Hello, first of all thank you to Stan for taking the time to respond to me. Last night, The Experts was on Channel One and the same problem occurred. The issue is that I can't change the main language to French with my remote; it doesn't work, it stays in English. My fiancé tried and got the same result. I think like you, Stan, about the solution, but unfortunately, it’s blocked. So if you have the solution to switch the main language from English to French, I would be more than happy, because like yesterday with The Experts, I had to skip channels all evening as there wasn’t much else on. Hello, This problem apparently comes from your TNT decoder, as Stan indicates, the default language of your decoder must be set to English. You just need to go into your decoder settings and change the language. My parents had the same issue with last night's experts, they have a Strong brand TNT decoder!

Hello FCORNIC, thank you for your response, but my TNT decoder is Global Sphère, I don't have a remote control for it and the only buttons I have are power, channels, and a button at the back to turn it off completely. You do have the remote control related to your TNT decoder. You say: "Well, when I go to menu, language settings, audio and teletext are in English...", it's precisely THIS audio setting that you need to change to French. There should be a button that allows you to make this change, so refer to your user manual; it should outline the steps to follow to make this adjustment. Most remotes have an OK button and navigation buttons that let you move left and right as well as up and down in the menus, and the OK button is used to confirm.
Try to access that settings menu; you're almost there...

Good evening everyone, I am currently on TF1 and to my great surprise, CSI is in English and of course, there’s no way to switch it to French... :( I went to the menu service settings language and set everything to French and it still doesn’t work, I don’t know what to do anymore, thank you in advance for the responses

for your information, I have the same problem with my TNT decoder, a Global Sphère DVT0101, but I have another SAGEM decoder which works fine (choice of multiple languages, subtitles, etc....)
maybe a firmware update is needed?

I haven't done it yet, I'm missing the cable.

Hello, I had the same problem and even changing the audio settings didn't help. I simply updated my TNT channels and since then, there have been no issues. I hope this helps some people.

Hello, I had the same problem with English shows and other series, so I have a Daewoo, and you just need to press the "lang" button on the remote at the bottom right when the movie starts, and often press it again after each commercial. However, I haven't solved the issue of the French subtitles remaining displayed, but that's not a big deal; at least I can follow the movie, and this works for all movies that come in English.
I hope I have solved your problem or that of someone else because it's true that it's been a while.

Finally, you just need to press the "lang" button on the remote "2 times for me" and it switches to French, but you have to do it every time and quite often after the ads as well. There you go, I hope I helped you.

I have the same issue with a Onesx TV with a built-in DTT tuner.
Even though all the menus (including those of the DTT) are in French, only the solution of pressing the 'lang' button on the remote works.

I finally understood how to set American series in French. Here’s the procedure to follow: MENU / Digital TV / Factory Reset / Code 0000 / Do you want to reset YES / French / French / Install.
