Hello,

I have a screen that displays file names and their locations. The locations are organized as follows: AA1 to AA10, then AB1 to AB10, and so on up to DD10.

The issue is that the display is correct up to BB5. However, from BB6 onwards, all remaining keys/display show only BB6. Consequently, there is no BB7, BB8, CA1, etc.: all locations that should follow BB5 up to DD10 are replaced by BB6.

As a result, the file associated with BB6 is read on all keys after BB5.

Is it possible to fix this issue to restore the normal continuation of the locations and buttons, from BB7 to DD10?

    Hello,

    Your photos are fairly clear and show all the lines replaced by BB6, and that confirms that the card simply no longer reads memory addresses.

    We can clearly see all the connections connected to the ribbon that links the main board to the touch module with connectors that may also be poorly seated, plus the controller board which seems to manage the touch areas along with the display, in addition to the behavior of components that is typical of a memory index that locks up.

    If the area corresponding to BB7 >> DD10 is corrupted, it is the firmware that returns the last valid value to BB6.

    An inadequately seated and if oxidized touch ribbon means that the touch controller no longer receives the "touch IDs" beyond a certain point, so it returns the same default value.

    Also check that there is no broken soldering on the board, as an addressing line could be cut to the keys beyond BB5 which are no longer identified.

    Note that the firmware may be damaged by a failed update, etc...

    You can also test the order of the keys by pressing BB6, BB7 and BB8 etc... because if they produce the same tone it means there is indeed an internal addressing order problem.
