Hello,
in Azureus, it's impossible to download files > 5Go, it says insufficient disk space even though my hard drive is 250 Go and only filled to less than 20%;
if I restart the file to download, it works but gets stuck 5 minutes later

I recently had the same problem. In fact, since I updated Azureus to Vuze.
Here is the solution I found:
Apparently, it is the swap files that are causing the problem. Vuze seems to use them before copying the file to the hard drive. So, even though it allocates memory when starting the torrent (like it did before with Azureus), it uses the swap files as working memory during the download.
The procedure is as follows:
1. right-click on the desktop => properties
2. go to the "advanced" tab
3. in "performance" click on "settings"
4. click on the "advanced" tab
5. in "virtual memory" you have the total size of the swap file (which you can modify)
6. click on "change"
7. in "custom size" set the initial size and the maximum size (note, it is in MB, so if you have a 5 gig pack to download, enter "5000" for 5000 MB and not "5" for 5 GB). You should plan for a maximum size greater than the total of the files you are currently downloading. (for example, I have 15 GB for the maximum swap file size, which allows me to either download a large source like a season pack or multiple torrents.....)
8. then click OK until you exit the system properties.
9. Exit Azureus if you haven't already done so (completely close the application, it should not remain in the systray -systray: a series of small icons in the lower right of the desktop-)
10. Restart the PC
11. Relaunch Azureus
Check that the torrent that was blocking now goes through like a letter in the post (not French post, the post)
Enjoy ;)

I solved my problem by changing the format of my hard drive. I changed my hard drive from IDE to NTFS. The IDE format does not accept files larger than 4GB. It's quite simple to do. There are plenty of forums that explain the procedure.
Bye everyone
