Hello,
We have Vista and version Ciel compta 13.1 and we just received a response from Ciel support (even though we don't have a contract!!)
Basically, you need to close all programs related to Ciel compta, right-click on the desktop icon (the Ciel compta shortcut) and click on "run as administrator" then perform the same actions as usual to close it
for us, it worked well!
good luck!!

I have Ciel version 11.0 and I would like to add extra lines at the end of each page, about 4 to 5 lines, and in the "generator" states I cannot find it.
Thank you for your help.

Great, I had exactly the same problem closing/archiving my accounting, PDF system initialization error.
I am on Windows 7 and Ciel 10.1 and right-clicking on the desktop icon as an administrator worked very well!
Thanks again for this post!
Gerald.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem as you. If you found the solution before me, could you please tell me how you did it, as I also work with Vista and Ciel Compta 13?
Best regards, Mandine

I have the same problem. I'm on Windows 8. The right-click doesn't work.

I found the solution!! Your software should indicate "ready for Vista". In fact, it should read "ready to throw it away!!" because there are bugs with Vista, and actually, I bought the 2008 version "Vista compatible" and now it works!! Incredible, isn't it? Getting them on the phone is a mission impossible if you don't have a support contract, and the salespeople can't help you.... Good luck with that! Thanks, Ciel, not a very economical solution but well, once used, you have to keep going.
Sorry it's disappointing but today I can send my data by email, I have no more issues with the PDF system. I was also told "you shouldn't have taken Vista", very funny when you don't really have a choice!

Hello, I installed Adobe Reader version 8 compatible with Vista via the internet and it keeps showing me "PDF system initialization error" every time I want to export an invoice to PDF.
I'm really starting to get fed up.
Thank you if you can find the solution.

Good evening, have you found out where the system initialization problem with CIEL comes from? I am still unable to send my documents.
Thank you for your response.

Hello

I have the same problem with Ciel 14.0 and Vista. I just called support (I don't have a contract), they must have had a lot of calls because they didn't hesitate to send me version 15.5. Version 14.0 apparently has an issue with Vista and they agree to send an update. I haven't tested it yet!
Good luck!

Yes, I think you will have to do it because the sky patches are reportedly extremely expensive, and on top of that, when you want to get them, they ask you to take a support subscription, and the salespeople can't help you. So the benefit... I bought the new version, Sky 2008 Easy, and yes, it is compatible with Vista.
Good luck!

Hello, same hassle, I just hung up with technical support who didn't want to help me, they transferred me to sales. Big argument with them and they should send me the accounting update v13 compatible with Vista.
So don't let them take advantage of you, it's not normal to sell a product where you have to keep paying constantly.
See you soon for updates whether it works or not.

I have the same problem with Ciel compta facile 2008, but I am on Windows XP, which is supposedly compatible. What can I do? I called Support, and they said I should take advantage of the 30-day free trial after purchase, and they were not friendly either.
Thank you for your help.

Hello

I have this problem too, the only solution is to call CIEL
to get the update to VERSION v14.
We shouldn't let ourselves be pushed around.....

Hello, I used the formula from (The bot of Thursday, April 3, 2008), and it worked; for this year, I don’t know if it will work...? I haven’t closed it yet.
Best regards

I tried the method with the shift key of blot but it doesn't work for the closure.
According to a communication with sky, Vista is not compatible with version 2007
See you!

Hello everyone,

for the PDF system initialization error when closing, you need to do one of the following actions:
1- Press Shift+Execute on the closing window
2- Right-click on the Ciel Compta icon, then choose: run as administrator, and try closing again.
3- Right-click on the Ciel Compta icon, then properties, then on the compatibility tab check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select from the dropdown list: Win XP, and finally check Disable visual themes. It should work, otherwise you need to buy a new version

Happy working :)

Hello everyone,
For the same type of error: unable to close an exercise with Ciel Compta libérale V14.1 and Vista as the operation is followed by a message: "...pb initialisation pdf file" I had to gather my courage and call Ciel's technical support. After discussing and attempting remote troubleshooting, they provided me with a file that allowed me to upgrade to version 14.2 and close the exercise. I had previously followed all your advice but what seems to be a bug in the software was resolved by the manufacturer, which seems perfectly normal. I encourage you to do the same.

Good evening,

Apparently, this is a very common issue. After some research, I think I've found the solution. You just need to create a Windows Live account and send the documents in a format other than PDF, for example, HTML.

The problem is finally resolved.

I hope I was able to help you.

Hello VERO,

How do you set a different format than the default one (PDF)? Where should I go, which tab...?

Thank you in advance.

To simply fix the problem: Right-click on the shortcut => properties then the "compatibility" tab. Click on the button at the bottom "Change settings for all users" and check the box "Run this program as an administrator." Then click apply. Then ok. Relaunch the program and the problem will no longer occur ;)
