Missing PDFMAKER Files

Solved
Hello,

Hello, I have Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional installed on my PC originally and I do not have an installation CD.
When I try to convert my Word file (version 2007) to PDF, it tells me "missing PDFMaker files, do you want to run the installer in repair mode?". If I answer "yes", it proceeds to configure Adobe Acrobat 8.0 and without any results.
Can you help me because I have absolutely no idea how to proceed. When I had Word 2003, I had no issues.

Thank you in advance
See you soon
Nath
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

  1. Hi
I had the same problem, I searched and found the solution.
To start, open Word, go to the Office menu > Options, in the window that opens go to Add-ins, then at the bottom of the window under Manage click on Disabled Items in the dropdown list > then Go. In the window that opens, select the item from the list (like Acrobat something) > then Enable. Restart Excel and the ACROBAT menu appears like magic!! I hope this helps you.

    3. Hello,

At first, I have a bit of the same problem with PDF Maker in Word 2007 with Vista, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The computer refuses to create a PDF but then my problem worsens!!
Indeed, Word completely crashes and I get a message that says "the program has stopped working..."
So I close Word and when I try to reopen a Word document my mouse is unresponsive: I can't click in the document or select, I also cannot open my files through Explorer. And every time I close Word I get the same error message.
I tried to restore my system from a restore point but it also refuses to do that!
I also tried to repair Office with the installation files but without success.
Finally, I tried your solution and again I can't because I can't click on the menu to change the left menu.
In short, I'm stuck and very frustrated especially as this is my work PC and I don't have IT support.
This is the second time I've had this problem but the first time things fixed themselves without me knowing how, but it's different this time.

Thank you for your help as I urgently need Word!!!!!!!!!!
