Problem with worms world party and vista

Hello, regarding the color inversion. I hadn’t found anything until I looked on US forums. It turns out there is a fix that acts as an exe to launch WWP and corrects this issue. One thing, it leaves a message saying it closes all Explorer windows at startup and restarts them once you exit the game. I tested it, and it works perfectly!! After several days of hassle. You need to put it in the c:\team17\worms world party folder. As for me, once done, I created a shortcut on the desktop and assigned it the game icon. That’s it, hoping this helps you. Bye

I had the same problem and I managed to solve it, so I installed the latest patch from the Team 17 site and then installed it. Finally, just before launching the game, switch to the Windows Classic theme and set the display to a maximum of 1024*768 or 800*600. After that, the game works. It took me two weeks to figure it out, lol.

I have the same problem with Worms. I had an issue with Age of Empires 2, I messed around with the graphics card driver and it worked. With Worms, it doesn't work. And that annoys me.

I think Vista is partly to blame.

I have an Intel 945 graphics chipset with Vista. I resolved the black screen issue in Worms World Party by installing a driver for XP version 6.14.18.4814 (Dell). However, I have a color inversion problem in the game.

For my part, I don't have a black screen, but the graphical performance is subpar.. I feel like I'm playing the first version of Worms. With the maximum graphical settings, there’s a color inversion and extreme lag. Unplayable.
The issue must lie with Vista. Perhaps too much zeal in system protection?

Even on XP, Worms World Party can sometimes display a black screen (+ mouse pointer).
In my case, I just need to disable my firewall (Kerio) for the game to work.
I’d like to point out that the built-in firewall of Windows is disabled by default on my machine.
If you have this issue, under Windows or whatever, you can try
to disable your firewalls before launching Worms, then re-enable them after playing,
but be careful:
YOUR PROTECTION will not be guaranteed during this time!
As for me, I disconnect from the internet at that moment.

when I try to open the program, I'm either directed to a blank web page, or to a message telling me that the
error that occurred is not listed.

For the color inversion: download this (2nd link) and place it in your game folder. It should work correctly afterwards. This is the latest update. It worked for me on Vista.
