MacBook Air very slow + fan running at full speed

Hello

I got a MacBook Air model A2179, it had an iCloud account on it, and I also purchased a blank motherboard of the same model (A2179).

So, I changed the motherboard, the problem is that the computer is horrifically slow,

when I start it, the Apple logo appears and the loading bar shows up, it takes about 5 minutes to fully load, then another good 5 minutes to access the session, and there's often that little multicolored spinning wheel of the cursor...

The fan runs at full speed all the time, right from the start, it starts spinning and then gradually ramps up to full speed...

The battery doesn’t hold, when I unplug the power cable, the PC shuts down...

Do you have any ideas or solutions about what could be going on?

    Hello,

    With the original motherboard, although it is locked, which I find quite strange, did the device turn on and function normally?

    The motherboard you must have is either not compatible with the rest of the device, or it is faulty, or you have connected something incorrectly.

      The device was in internet recovery mode because the iCloud account was impossible to sell (I work for a store).

      So I changed the logic board for the same one (A2179) and the computer is still just as slow even though I can now access the session.

      Everything is properly connected though.

    A2179 so MacBook Air Retina 2020?

    Forget it, if the battery is dead the machine will still ventilate because there’s a sensor inside.

    So can it totally slow down the PC? To the point of taking like 5 minutes to open the settings?

    Yes, the sensor is faulty, so the device is not responding properly. Find a working official APPLE battery for testing since you are a "store", that should do the trick ;)

      It would have been wiser to drop it off at a certified center or Apple Store, where they will install an original battery for testing.


      There, you are going to order a battery from site X or Y without being sure of the result since I mentioned earlier that an original battery would be good.

      I have one for diagnosis, I will see how it reacts without a battery.

    With a generic battery, it works as long as it is considered to be in good condition, no problem, even though for us it is declared FAKE, but the machine does not ventilate.
