Remove personal information from edecideur.com

Hello everyone,

I realized that when I typed my name into Google, it appeared on edecideur.com for a SCI that no longer exists.

I then tried to contact edecideur.com but to no avail. The site redirects to another site, Blue Shield Publishing, with an email address contact@blue-shield-publishing.com. I emailed them, but received no response.

I then tried to contact them by phone, but the number is +1 (845) 481-2223 located in New York (616 Corporate Way, Suite 2-4729 Valley Cottage, NY 10989). No response at all, even after trying several times: what a huge surprise.

While digging a little, I found out that edecideur is linked to many other sites and email addresses:
- https://blue-shield-publishing.com/ with contact@blue-shield-publishing.com
- https://edecideur.info/ with contact@edecideur.info
- https://edecideur.mobi/ with a contact form
- https://edecideur.com/ with contact@blue-shield-publishing.com
- https://french-corporate.com/

I could continue the list....

Anyway, I tried all the email contacts as well as the same number and have received no feedback: a black hole.

It's a cold shower because I want to remove personal data from these sites but it’s IMPOSSIBLE. In my opinion, the CNIL won't be able to do anything because all these sites operating in France have the same contact in the United States and the same address but no responses at all...

If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Try to contact the CNIL anyway. In my opinion, you need to declare only one site in this case, https://edecideur.com/, and they'll see what they can do...

Otherwise, you can contact Google regarding the right to be forgotten.

I hope you'll find a solution. Good luck.

The CNIL is not competent; it's the commercial court. The GDPR does not apply to legal entities.

I realized that when I typed my first and last name into Google, it appeared on edecideur.com.
It is indeed a natural person.

You need to read the entire sentence: "for a SCI" SCI means "SOCIETE CIVILE IMMOBILIÈRE", so a legal entity. It’s not difficult, you just have to make a non-disclosure request to the commercial court of the company's registered office. However, GDPR does not apply and the CNIL has no jurisdiction.
I remind you that corporate mandates are public; stating that Carlos Ghosn was CEO of Renault Nissan is not subject to GDPR, nor is writing that Marc Feuillée is the president of the company that publishes this site.

True, that's why Google responds to requests for the right to be forgotten: “This content seems to correspond to a job you are currently working on or have recently worked on.” or “This content is of great public interest .” A way of saying that the data is public, in open data, and that it is no more possible to delete it than to de-index it.
I had my first and last name on Edecideur for years, impossible to remove, the email address is fake. The CNIL indeed cannot do anything, and neither can Google in terms of the right to be forgotten. However, I managed to do it by contacting a web cleaner, I won't advertise it but if you search, you'll find it. The page has not been deleted but de-indexed from Google regarding my name, which suits me.
Because yes, just because it's public doesn't mean GDPR doesn't apply. Carlos Ghosn is a public figure, but Marc F can do it. Moreover, even Carlos Ghosn can do it, he just won't be able to delete the press articles that mention his name. But de-indexing his Edecideur page, yes.

I am in contact with the CNIL!
I advise you to contact them as soon as possible, explaining your case so that together we can take legal action against these sales of personal information!

Good evening, I am also in the same situation. I would like legal action to be taken... what should I do? Thank you very much.

To have data removed from the sirene, bodacc, and inpi databases, you need to contact your company's commercial court. The CNIL is not competent for this.

It worked for me; I have a court decision authorizing me to mask my company's data, and it has been removed everywhere: company, infogreffe, edecideur, french-corporate, and others. All companies redistributing the data do so during database updates, usually on the first day of the month.

However, it's quite a heavy procedure; you need to hire a lawyer and have a hearing in court that examines the case and grants or denies you the anonymity of your company's public data.

It's not a right; legal entities are not covered by either the right to be forgotten or the GDPR. The bodacc publishes convictions with the clear names of the directors. That's the way French law is.

Hello, I am in the same situation, has anyone tried the CNIL and received a favorable response? I am in the process of making a request to the CNIL, can I include references that could be added to your submissions to make it a collective action?

If I understand correctly, it is useless to send emails asking them to remove our information?

The person who started this post, davidfou, have you received a favorable response?

Thank you,
Best regards

Good evening, I'm also in the same situation.
In fact, it's a site run in France but with a mailbox in the USA, which explains why you didn't get a response when calling the United States.
So we should take collective legal action against these people who are actually French.

Edecideur is a website that redistributes public databases: sirene, bodacc, iddc, bilan inpi... So excluded from GDPR, it makes sense that you have no answer and that Google refuses to delist the pages.

You can bring your case to the commercial court to which your company belongs so that some of the data, such as financial statements, are not public.

However, the siren number, the company's name, and the names of the corporate officers (managing director, administrator...) cannot be counted on.

Similarly, if your business is at your personal address, it remains public because you are the one in violation. It is quite ironic for a real estate investment company, but that’s how French law is.

As for the CNIL, honestly, there’s no point in wasting your time, they do absolutely nothing. I’ve tried, the response was: we will contact the American consumer regulator, but it might not work. Yes, it’s unlikely to work; it is completely beyond their scope of competency for this type of issue.

Hello,
I am in the same situation as you, did you find a solution?

Yes, I requested a non-publication from the Paris Commercial Court.
My public data has been set to non-distribution mode and it was removed from all websites on the 1st of the following month.

Hello,

is it complicated to request a non-publication from the commercial court?

How to do it?

Hello,
I carefully read your message and I have exactly the same problem.
Did you manage to solve it?
For now, I have sent exactly as you probably did the requests to the email addresses in French and English.
Thank you again
Best regards

My request for non-publication of the sirene file was made to the Commercial Court of Paris (registry to which my company belongs). It took about 3 weeks for the information to disappear from all sites: edecideur, but also société.com, bilan gratuits... however, it remained on bodacc.fr and if I understand correctly, it is impossible to delete an announcement because it is an official document.

If the decision-maker captured your data before your request to have your data deleted from the registry, they retain it and do not delete it; that's the problem.

Google responds to requests for the right to be forgotten regarding Edecideur: “This content appears to relate to a job you are currently working on or have recently worked on.” or “This content is of great interest to the public .” It's a way of saying that the data is public, in open data, and that it is no more possible to delete it than to de-reference it.

Because yes, just because it's public doesn't mean GDPR doesn't apply. Carlos Ghosn is a public figure but Marc F can do it. In fact, even Carlos Ghosn can do it, it's just that he won't be able to delete the news articles that mention his name. But de-referencing his Edecideur page, yes.

Edecideur is still an illegal site. They claim to disseminate public data, true, but why is it the only site that refuses to respond? They are breaking the law, hosted abroad like many others. A lawyer won't be able to do anything; you need to call a specialized web cleaner.

Hello

I'm also on edecideur.com as a LMNP, even though my SIRET isn't even registered with the court!
Thanks for this forum, I tried to reach out using the edecideur contact email which, according to this forum, is inactive, and on blue-shield-publishing.com

Yes, we can remove legal information about companies, including legal entities. And the GDPR applies to personal data related to companies. No need for a lawyer, I contacted a web cleaner, it took four weeks and cost €120.
