Password and Google Chrome

I'm sorry for resurrecting this topic, but apart from looking in the exceptions, is there another way to retrieve your saved password:

1. Download and install Internet Explorer if you haven't already
2. Launch the software and have it save the passwords of your choice (it should normally work on Internet Explorer)
3. Go to Google Chrome, wrench icon, options, personal data, then "import data from another browser."
4. Select "Internet Explorer" from the dropdown menu
5. Don't forget to check "Saved passwords," and you may check other boxes as well.
6. Click on "import."

If some of you still have this problem, here is my method:

1 - Follow mioumiou45's method
2 - Close Chrome
3 - Launch CCleaner and perform a cleanup
4 - Launch Chrome and it should normally prompt to save the password..

You just need to check the box "Offer to save passwords". You click on settings / Personal data and you check this box. I hope it will work.

I’m bringing up the topic again because I have the same issue. Once the choice "never for this site" has been made, I haven't found a way to have Chrome remember a password. If anyone knows what cookie/file or other thing needs to be deleted to make Chrome "forget" that we previously said "no", that would be great :D

Well no, I just reinstalled my entire PC (Win XP), IE8, Chrome, and the passwords are not being asked to be saved even though the "Pwd" box is checked...

Hello, click on history, then click on clear browsing data... under the page click on advanced options, you will find saved passwords and forms, click on manage saved passwords and bye.

To allow registering a password again that will automatically display after it has been inadvertently (or deliberately) blocked on Chrome.
1- Click on the Options button at the top right of your window.
2- Scroll down the list and click on "Settings"
3- A new page will appear
4- Scroll down and click on "Show advanced settings..."
5- Scroll down to read under the subsection "Passwords and forms"
6- Enable the second option if it never prompts you to save a password/ If it is only for a specific site, click on "Manage passwords" highlighted.
7- In "never saved" delete the relevant site.

Hi mioumiou,

I would have loved for it to be that simple, but in the "exceptions" part, I have... nothing :s So it's not working :'(
It's really frustrating me :( actually it was working well until this site changed the base of their url. Since then it's not working anymore, and it's not offering me the registration... I'm going to continue doing it manually.
