Hello, I read that there is a device to plug into the phone's charging port that allows photos to be transferred directly to my computer without going through the Cloud, but I didn't memorize its name...

      Hello,

      The OTG has nothing to do with it; it is intended for the reverse direction (to transfer content from a device to an iPhone via a USB-connected peripheral).
