Hello,
I want to free up space on my iPhone and would like to transfer some photos to my PC.
So, I connected my iPhone via USB to the PC, then in the "iPhone" file of the explorer, in "DCIM," I cut the photos and pasted them into a folder on my PC. The problem is that not all the photos from my iPhone are appearing in this folder! Where can I find the other photos?
Also, the photos haven't been deleted from my iPhone. Now when I open the "DCIM" folder, I only see 14 photos while there are still over 500 on my iPhone...
I tried using iTunes to sync, but I don't understand where to find my photos afterward. How do I read the "iPod Photo Cache" folder?

Hello, to begin with, Windows can only see and download photos that are in the Camera Roll folder of the iPhone's Photos app.
If you have created folders in the Photos app and moved photos into those folders that you created on the iPhone, Windows cannot see or download them.
IF you have imported photo folders into the iPhone using iTunes, Windows also does not see them and cannot import them.
IF you have enabled iCloud options to manage photos (Photo Library or other), Windows cannot see or import them either.
That's a lot of "IFs"; it's up to you to determine if you fall into one of these cases.
Generally speaking, if you haven't created folders directly on the iPhone to place photos in and no iCloud option (managing photos) is enabled, Windows will access the photos, can download them, and delete them from the device without them reappearing on the iPhone.

In my case, it's about the photos of my grandson that my daughter sends me from her mobile phone. With the selfies and other photos that are sent to me via WHATSAPP there are no problems.
