Hello, at the moment I have a yagi antenna, the reception is mediocre, and it is placed on one side of the house with a driveway; you can imagine birds doing their business and fed up with cleaning. The nearest transmitter is 30 km away and the other 50 km away. What do you think about passive outdoor and indoor antennas to put in the attic? I bought the CaptiPRO TNT HD UHD outdoor antenna 11.5dBi, 4K-band 470-694MHz ultra protection 4/5G; could you please tell me if it is good because now I have doubts. Thank you for your answers.

    Hello,

I have only negative opinions about it: when reception from the transmitter itself is poor, there is no miracle. One can possibly put an amplifier and a 4G filter on the antenna, but that doesn't always change much.

Besides the position of the antenna itself, reception can be poor regardless of the distance to the transmitter (we will receive poorly in one place but well 5 or 10 km away): disturbances from other waves, the influence of the terrain and weather conditions... that is the case in my locality even though the terrain is practically non-existent (low hills).

On the first point there may be a way to elevate it and reorient it; on the second, beyond using a Box, the only real solution when possible legally and due to terrain and vegetation (obstacles) is probably the satellite.
