Hello everyone

You successfully helped me last June, and now I have a new problem.

I can no longer access my Chrome homepage; instead, I have a browser with a bird logo, and on top of that, I have a Total AV antivirus that runs automatically and tells me that my PC is infected. I did not request the installation of this antivirus....

Can you help me get rid of it?

Thank you very much

Nadocop

Thanks in advance

To further utilize the software's potential, if it does not show everything you wish to detect with the default analysis, to refine your search, use Filter Set or Inspection Mode and then Filter Set and choose "Display All but Exclude Signed by Microsoft/Google/Greatis", it will still detect some false positives or a number of good files, especially in PUPs (Uninstall Section), but fewer than when showing everything with Display All. Check the tabs at the top one by one to thoroughly verify all sections rather than clicking on Go Next.

    Hello,

You can try to uninstall TotalAV using Revo Uninstaller Free in Advanced mode to remove all traces of TotalAV (as much as possible)

    https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo-uninstaller-free-download/

Then do some manual cleanup, I can help you if you have any questions or details.

If needed, you can use ResetBrowser, but back up your favorites first.

    Hello Fabul

First of all, thank you for considering my request.

I launched ResetBrowser and was able to recover my homepage. I restarted the PC and there's no sign of TotalAV.... I will see if it comes back.... in the meantime, I will look into the forum topic regarding removing viruses by oneself....

I will get back in touch if needed

    Thanks again

    Hello

    The problem reappears....:

At the startup of the PC, a page with "FIX detected issues and protect your PC"

I choose Skip and my Google homepage has disappeared again....

I will try Revo Uninstaller Free as suggested, unless you have another suggestion?

    Thank you

    Hello Fabul

I just uninstalled Pulse Browser using Revo Uninstaller. The problem seems to be solved, but I'll check the tutorial now.

    I'll keep you updated

    Thanks

Inspection is essential when in doubt, if only for reassurance, but sometimes we find unnecessary or disturbing things with a quick analysis.

When we mark healthy elements as False Positive with the Green button, and the bad ones are removed with the Red button, and do not return, it’s a good sign.

We can also improve the performance of the PC being inspected to limit automatic startups with Autoruns and services.msc (part 2).

    Hello Fabul

I just ran Reanimator and there was no detection of malicious files.

I read the tutorial all the way through, very interesting :)

I'll get back to you if needed

    Thank you
